Nice work. Looks great. I like the grill, I am planning to do something similar. The wheels look good too. I would love to have your car in the 2012 calendar when you are all done. :)

Yes, for sure. I just didnt want to re-install them until I do the color sand. I have a nice set with cats on them.Thats also why I didnt take pics from the front.

I am also installing some clear turn lenses, and clear custom corners. If you look close I made custom brushed aluminum door badges too.

... If that was a beater before~I dunno what mine is.

Looks freakin' shagy!

You've got the same rear spoiler as me.
So it's an FMS spoiler? I had no idea what it was, Nor could i find any info on it.

Yes, its an FMS, but I sectioned mine into 3 pieces so that it would fit flush around the body. Its pure urethane so its pretty heavy, but I like it.

Ah!
So yours was one piece before?

I always thought mine was 3 pieces originally and someone customized it to one piece or something (Just how it looked to me).

Here's a pic:

WHAT!! You still havent installed it!! Heres what yours looks like installed.http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t97/biggrgivens/86%20TC/tbirdwing.jpg
http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t97/biggrgivens/86%20TC/tbirdwingb.jpgI was looking all over the place to contact you to buy it back before my car went to paint. LOL!! You got the second version that they made in fiberglass. Yours is a one piece that cant be sectioned, plus it already sits flush. YOU LUCKED OUT because at the time I didnt need the wing because of  my evil exwife trading my other 86 in for $500(long story and painfull) I know you said the wing had found a good home, but living on your couch. That sucks! LOL!! :giggle:

The grille is custom with black mesh. Thats probably why it looks like its floating. I might make a billet style one like this one.
http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t97/biggrgivens/86%20TC/tcfront.jpg (wish I could find the fog light covers with the Ford logos.)Anyone know where I can get a set?

I'm using a set of H&R Tbird Turbo coupe specific springs. I didnt sit right at first because I didnt seat the springs in the perch correctly, but after I figured it out, it sat just right. It rides like I never lowered it. NO BOUNCE

WOW! I just got chills!! As many of you guys know, I bought this car from a widow who just couldnt stand the site of the car when her husband just recently past away. He was the first owner and it was his baby. When I bought it, it only had 97,000 on it. She had a friend who was helping her liquidate their asstes list it on craigslist. I happened to see it within 6 minutes of its listing and bought it site unseen. To make a long story short I sent him pics of the car when I posted them here, and this is what he wrote me......

"WOW...my jaw just dropped...I cant believe it. My hat off to you.  Im so glad we found you to care for this car.  You are truly amazing.

Craig, the owner, death anniversary is this week.  You have impeccable timing.  I will print out this picture and show his wife what you have done.  I will give it to her at the cemetary.  She will be bpuppies with joy as I am.  As you know, Craig was only 50 years old when he died.  You would have liked him.  He was a really likeable guy.  Im very happy you now care for what he cared for best.  Im sure he is too.

You did good.  You did really good.  She will be very proud of you.

Many thanks.  I hope you continue to keep in touch."

Woooh! Thats deep.

I stumbled across someone while in conversation, and he told me how he had an old imperial and went to this guy locally who made him a complete tail lense that looked like the original. he was so excited about how nice it looked that he carried the lens in his car to show anyone who would listen. LOL!! It was so nice that it even had part number stamped in it. He gave me his number and we went down there with a TC lens in hand for a real good introduction. Pays to network.

Honestly, that is a reasonable price. I actually expected it to be more. Then again, I may be used to looking at 1K cat-back prices for the REX. Shoot me a PM when you have a set ready, I don't want to totally hijack your thread.

Not yet. I sent the car back to the paint shop so he could do the color sand and touch up the areas he "F"d up. LOL!! May take a week before I get my car back. Its supposed to take 2 days, but when its just a "fix my mistakes" job with no $$ involved, your car gets put on the back burner.(Plus the fact that I bargained him way down on price) It will be at least a week. Glad the car isnt my daily driver.

I decided to wait on the racing stripes. I think the car has a lot going on and in might be overkill. I also have to find a nice fog bracket for passenger side.

I know I need some new headlights I'm thinking about either the diamond cut or black projector style. Any thoughts?

The only thing I would do is loose the Ford logo in the grill. T-birds do not have Ford logos. MN-12s having one bugs the  out of me...

The car looks great though:D

WOW!!! What a beautiful Bird you have there!! IT's come a long way..keep up the great work!! I'm really digging the rear spoiler myself!! I'd love to find one for one of my Birds here.....good luck with that, right? LOL

Someone mentioned finding a set of the driving lights with the FORD oval on them. I have an extra pair that are later models made by Bosch, not Marchal. They are literally new, just if anyones interested....let me know!!

Later, RAY

Looks awesome! Love the customization!

One day I'll own a TC....

Good job on the chrome tip too! Its nice to see a big fat shiny single instead of shiny duals once in a while...

And $105??? I was thinking a lot more! You might have yourself a little business going on here if you talk to the right people...A lot of guys seem to be after those clear corners (I don't need em cause ain't got four-eyed-fever:D)

That's a beautiful looking car.  Love the wheels, the color, grill, etc. The one thing that is hanging me up is the clear corners.  The blue jumps out so much that the clear corners screw up the flow/body lines of the car.

What would look nice is to turn the corners blue and add some cornering lamps in the fender from an 87-88 and convert those to turn signals

Wow your Bird looks great!! I remember reading what you went through thanks to your ex. so it's nice to see you got another one and as sweet as it is! The letter you put on here was very nice too. That really has to make you feel good. I've been looking at the exact wheels you bought in the Muscle Mustangs mag. If I hadn't gotten married last month I would have a set, but priorities. Would you mind sharing the sizes of both the wheels and tires?
