There were just tornadoes on the ground North,South, and West of us.None here. It's clearing up and the weather is getting better. It's going East of us.Lots of damage in those areas.bad stuff.Glad we didn't get anything but high winds and some rain. Just giving a weather report.
That's a lot of Oldsmobiles :hick:
Wow Vin. I'm glad to see everything is okay in your area. They're showing photage on the weather channel. What a mess!
Thats why I dont live out that way.
tornadoes here too but all is good. some damage from strong winds but other than that not too much.
It's a way of life out here. From now until late fall,we're under a tornado watch all the time. It's really funny to watch a Northerner around here when the sirens go off.LOL.We're just used to it.
We are glad you fella's are okay and out of harms way now. :)
D & P ;)
Oh yeah,we're good.Almost bedtime.Work comes early around here.
There's no place like home... there's no place like home...
Well we had scary weather a couple of weeks ago... tornados touched down a few miles away but spared our location.
Back in May 08 during Mother's Day weekend, Tornado activity was active for three days. Early Friday morning while it was dark and we were still sleeping a Tornado ripped through the neighborhood 2 miles from my house. The following Sunday a Tornado moved from Lincoln County which right above my county and headed east to Cabbaras County (where Lowe's Motor Speedway is above Charlotte). We were in Concord for Mother's Day at my sisters house there and golf ball sized hail did $7000 damage to my brand new 08 Mustang which I had for only 2 months! The hail also damaged my Mom and Brother In-Law's vehicles and my sister's house and detached garage had to have entire new roofs put on.
While we didn't have any spinsuckers here, we did have a pretty good lightning show, and some horrendous rain.
I love Spring. Always something fun going on...at least until people and property are put in harm's way.
My condolences to those who lost someone in the storms..
Just some rain here, I'm thankfull nothing severe. Glad all you other Great Plainers are OK too.
I got some of your wind down here Vinnie. But not a drop of rain.
Getting a couple tornado warnings out this way but think it will die out before it hits here.
tornado warning here till 4am pray for us
We're under a warning as well. That'll be common until late fall.LOL.
4bangen,Glad to share the wind.LOL.How's everything/We're doing well here.I'm doing some labor on the Sport working out little bugs here and there.Roller rockers this week...Finally.
I don't know how you guys can live out there. I'd be scared to death out there!
Just another day in the life of the Great Plains.
Yep ---- it's similar in northeast Arkansas ---- and we've already had a few this year.
I always seem to be in the wrong place when the weather hits. I'll run down to Florida only to have to hear hurricane warnings and come back to Arkansas to hear the tornado sirens ---- and last year an ice storm.
And yeah ---- as for the sirens ---- they just interrupt conversations.
Take some storm spotter classes....nothing to really be afraid of.
Of course, I also have a basp00get, and I've been in/through 5 twisters already.
I'm more scared of roller coasters than I am of tornadoes. :hick:
There were warnings about 60 miles east of here last night. It was in the 40s all day here.
There was a warning yesterday in the Ashland, Medina, Wayne county area (right where all three counties meet) and as usual everything kinda dissipated by the time it hit Summit county where I'm at.
