Title: Our new rides...
Post by: cougarman on May 03, 2010, 12:43:38 PM
The wife and I have been tooling around on these. We both get exercise, and it helps my wife get her strength built back up, after all her treatments, seems to help my bad knees also.:burnout:

Schwinn makes a good bike.  I had one growing up...and it was a real one not one of those Wal-mart specials.

I like going out on the bike too, but man does it ever make my a$$ hurt.  I don't remember that being a problem when I was 10.

Very cool! Bikes are always good exercise and schwinn always pulls off some interesting frames (can't take the fabricator out of everyday observations...)

I have a repro schwinn stingray I picked up last year. Now I just have to relearn how to ride a bike that doesn't have a motor. I'll have to keep up with the little one in a few years and I can't have her showing me up, lol.

Here we go, ignore the dust and random boards. I crammed this in a corner of the basp00get because my garage eats chrome and well this has a lot:

I've gotten rid of most of my older bikes (had an '83 Specialzed Stumpjumper, and an early 70's italian road bike) and just have my road/training bike and the mountain bike.

I do have an old Schwinn Cruiser frame in the basp00get, from the 70's most likely.  I was going to build it up into a neighborhood cruiser.  I have a drum brake rear wheel for it, the cruiser bars, etc.  I could probably slam it together in an afternoon if I had a free afternoon. Seeing as I'm working part time @ a bike shop as a mechanic, shouldn't be too hard to grab the parts I need ;).

I have a 2004 Trek 4300 and a 2007 Jamis Explorer 3.0. Both have disc brakes. I used to have a 1992 Jamis Exile and a 1987 Jamis Boss Cruiser but they have since been given to new owners.

I have a 1980 Suteki.  It was sold by Sears back in the day at $400.  I think the tires are original.:D

It's blue and goes with my 82 Cougar.  I should get one of those roof rack mounts and carry it around and not forget it's there whilst entering the garage.

Nice Gumby!

I have a nice road bike and a nicer mountain bike but most of the time I still ride my BMX bikes.  Its a better workout and more fun for me!:)

Always wanted an Orange Crate , thought they were cool. Too expensive though.
