Title: Ever clean your garage?
Post by: tbirdscott on May 02, 2010, 11:15:45 PM
Well it was raining all day so I figured I'd dig in to the depths of my junk pile in the garage and try to get organized a little.

I found a set of illuminated door locks with keys, NOS chrome door edge protectors, NOS headlight door emblems, and a pair of side light lenses for my box bird. I dont even remember buying this stuff, it was like freakin christmas! :mullet:

Anyone else experience this phenomenon when cleanin up the shop?

My uncle in Vernon B.C. found an old british war revolver (loaded)
while cleaning his garage of contents left behind by the previous home owners many years after he moved in .

I'm hoping to find my garage when I clean it... then again, we just moved in a few weeks ago, and so the garage has yet to be unpacked.

Shiny Side Up!

LOL!

By coincidence, I cleaned part of my garage yesterday, too.  All I found was some floor-space.  Before and after, and the other half yet to go. :

I went through my stash of parts about two months ago. I found all kinds of stuff that I forgot about, such as:
A non-cruise TC steering wheel, three sets of Marchal lamps, floor shifter (auto and man) surrounds, leather shift  and boot (mint), power lock delete covers, XR-7 fender badges, NOS XR-7 c-pillar emblems, XR-7 header panel emblems, center caps, horn buttons, computers, and even an unbroken hood release cable. I have no idea where most of that stuff came from.

I've been cleaning out mine too! LOL Luck would have it I found a cougar too! I haven't touched my cougar project in almost a year. I'm hoping to finish it and get it running this summer and finally drive this thing for the first time after owning it for about 2 1/2 years already.

My buddy just got his 64 fairlane on the road after 5-6 years workin on it, built up 302 and C4, all fresh upholstery but still in primer for now, Hauls ass.

Heres what I had to clean the garage to get out, but I did know it was in there!

Hopin to have it on the road some time in june but we'll see how that goes. Just found out this mornin that my engine will be here on the 29th of this month, with luck I will be able to drive it on my B-day!

a Crummit, those are so ugly they are cool... Wife had a S-22 as her first car...

With the 144 I6 & two speed Ford-O-Matic(er Merc-O-Matic) transmission, they have to rank as the slowest cars ever built... Possibly the 144 wasn't avail in the Comet??? It was in the Falcons though and slow is a merciful description...

Early '80's Mercedes 300D wagon with the diesel will give it a run (lose to it?) for the money...

Yup, came with the massive 144 :toilet: it's junked though, gonna pop a 170 in there for now with the stock Merc-O-Matic just to get it through inspection and get it back on the road (sat in a garage since 67) Been slowly putting together a '65 289 and have a C4 and an AOD kickin around, also scored an 8" for it. Should be fun.

I love the style, think it looks awesome. Here is how I found it, took three days of cleanin to get it out. This guy had one of everything crammed in there, it's actually on jack stands two feet in the air. Crammed to the floor boards with junk, filled to the headliner with junk, surrounded with junk..
