I used the 90 in my 87, with no problems, not sure about the cobra one. I used it so I could use the firewall adjuster for the clutch.
Did you have to change up the brake lines or fittings or anything at all for the 90 mustang GT one??? Also nice Cougar you got there.
Nope nothing, still got the original MC with the tc disc on the rear.
Okay i got like V6 mustang brakes disc on front and back has drum brakes. so is the mustang booster smaller than the cougar/t-bird? one
I got to much time and money in my car to replace with stock car quest price for the stock one was like almost $200
It's smaller diameter wise, but I think its a bit thicker. Someone else can chime on this, but It worked for me, I do believe I did have to bend a few of the lines a bit to make it line up and fit. Your cat is nice to. I remember we you to pic on you for all the dual color's, Nice!!
I have one I just took off my 88 xr7 if you want it
Nice offer if you still have it later on send it in a box of parts if i buy anything off you soon. about to get my taxes back so i just want a upgraded or a new part for right now but thanks xjeffs. you both got nice cougars.
i ordered the 1990 mustang GT brake booster should have it tomorrow thanks for help.
I know the Fox Mustang boosters are a direct bolt-in to the 83-86 cars. From your experiences are they with the 87-88 cars?
I can tell you that the SN-95 boosters are not a direct bolt-in as you have to elongate the holes on the firewall but this is the same thing you have to do when putting an SN-95 booster into a Fox Mustang.
If you are running the stock size calipers etc on the car then the Fox booster will work fine for you. I know a lot of guys running the 93 Cobra booster when they switch out to the SN-95 brakes. They are about identical to the SN-95 boosters with the exception of they bolt right up to the firewall. I wish I had that tidbit of info when I swapped out the brakes on my Coupe and the Bird.

Yes, the Mustang boosters bolt right on the '87-'88 cars also.:D
