Title: Did some tinkering on the Sport...
Post by: cougarman on April 26, 2010, 03:35:11 PM
Got some work done today on the Sport, the weather was beautiful. Got the manual drivers seat track on, the non cruise TC wheel, the halo headrests in. Got the magnaflow exhaust on, everything except the tailpipes. Now here something that will make you go hmmm. I used an h-pipe off a '95 Mustang, and didn't have to lengthen the flow tubes. The lers lined right up with the factory hangers.:burnout::burnout:

I want halo headrests... With the direction I am planning to go with black seats with white inserts I think I need to find a pair of sport buckets. And  to think there was a Fox Cougar in Pull-A-Part a few months ago that had a very salvagable set of sport bucket seats! Why did I not think to get them then? I guess because my initial plan was to use the original upholstry, but now I wanna make this car a much grander specticle than I had ever planned.

Are you running cats? I have Magnaflow Bullet Style lers. I'll be running shorties, no cats and the bullets. All through an H pipe and GT Stainless Tails

Didn't have time to get the tails on, will be putting them on when I change the rear springs and shocks. Yea, she's greasy, was very neglected before I bought her :punchballs:. She'll get fixed and cleaned up as I have time.:burnout:

I remember when I had mine dumped like that. No need for stereo in the car. It's a start. You got the idea.

Thanks for the pix.  I was curious as to how the flow tubes matched up to the h-pipe without being lengthened.

The white Sport needed a tune up , MSD cap and rotor, 9mm Ford Racing wires, Motorcraft plugs, The MSD was only $5 more than the store brand, so....:burnout:

Love the dome light, light years ahead of the stock one. Looks better, and lights up 5 times brighter that the old one. Might change out the carpet tomorrow, and dye the headliner we'll see. :burnout:
