It's still in better shape then mine was...lol
that is a treasure trove of usable parts
One of you cougar guys better buy this thing-what a great parts car!
Where's Kitz? Isn't that out his way
Im pretty sure he is. Id score it but i have my eye on a 70 stang fastback right now.
Funny, as I was looking at the photos I was thinking "Meh, Jerry's was worse..." :hick:
dont look that bad at all. pennsy must be tough on that stuff. looks like he's a ford guy
i like the other cougar in the backround. wonder why you would let it sit if it was just a fuel pump considering it looks like a repair place??
I'd take the seats.
It's nicer than my daily driver cougar, heh. My seat just broke through the floor for the second time...
The salt isnt too bad on cars here. At least not normally like that. I had a DD 93 XR7 5.0 a few years ago and it was rot free with 231,xxx on the clock. Im almost wondering if that car was used to tow a salt water boat...
Yea, I know...I own the car that all rust buckets are judged against.. lol
this could be Evolution III, lol
:jerry:
it doesn't look that bad at all under there so i don't know how it didn't pass unless there was a hole there i didn't see. Also all the pics i saw this car i s very saveable.
PA has a very strict motor vehicle inspection. A single hole the size of a dime in a front fender will actually fail the car - I've seen it happen. As far as Pennsylvania is concerned, that Coug' is d-o-n-e.
On the lighter side, that car doesn't have very many options for an XR-7, so it's not a huge deal.
I suppose I can understand them having that seeing as they don't salt....whereas here a 91 nissan hardbody pickup with almost no box left will still roam the streets because, well, in the winter we like to play a little game called "repave the road but instead of blacktop lets use salt instead" :hick:
good ole ny state "salt lick" highways!! white as the driven snow! around here if you dont loose small children thry the floorboards...the cars cherry:hick:
See why I was thinking mine wasn't so bad when I started it....:hick:
That's pretty lazy not putting in a fuel pump!
^^ x2, might take an hour to do and not expensive.
there are a few xr-7s around here for sale right now that are cheap.
the gas tank is forever rusted in place they couldnt put a fuel pump in lol:rollin:
My guess is that car was either flooded, or sat in a field for a very long time! Yikes!
Shiny Side Up!
Bill
Weird, it's an XR7 but it has the standard steering wheel.:hick:
