Title: H-pipe question
Post by: hypostang on April 16, 2010, 09:50:08 PM
I have a guy who says I can have this h-pipe for free if i change his oil and spark plugs he supplies the parts
My question is.... the H-pipe is an off road pipe from a 94 sn95 5.0 mustang,  will it fit on my 88 t bird with factory  86-93 mustang headers ?
If anyone can tell me, please do,  as he wants me to do the work tomorrow afternoon
 thanks in advance :D

my friend made it fit on his cougar, but it fit like . it was twisted and stuff. you'll need to probably have a exhaust shop cut it and make it fit better if they'll do it.

I was just searchin the threads here to answer a similar question of my own: Will an 87-93 H-Pipe fit on an 86 T-bird with the 5.0?

There are some glasspacks on my car now, and I need them OFF ASAP!  I have a brand new MAC H-pipe from one of my mustang projects.  If the H-pipe will work, I will just put on Flowmasters with turndowns like my 89 GT convertible has.

Also curious if a set of MAC headers (1 5/8") will work if I weld some bungs in them?  (Mustang headers for the 79-93)

The 87-93 H-Pipe won't mate properly with the 86 SO 5.0 manifolds.
The MAC Headers should bolt to the MAC H-Pipe. They should also bolt to the 87-93 H-Pipe. Doesn't the MAC H-Pipe have O2 bungs? You then wouldn't need the bungs in the headers.

The h pipe for a mustang will work just fine as long as you change the manifolds to the mustang factory headers . If you are talking about full length headers I honestly have no clue

So, I'm a little slow...he he he.:mullet:

I also had an BBK x-pipe and headers for an '86-93 Mustang on my old '86 Cougar and they fit great.

I put an x pipe on from a 5.0L SN95. It fit fine. No leaks. Very little tweeking to make it work. Tucks up nice out of the way.
