Title: absence of the bird makes the lincoln happy.
Post by: 4bangen on March 30, 2010, 09:30:41 PM
Seeing as I'm now birdless, and the fairmont is not ready for the swap yet.  I've directed my attention tward my girl's car, an 89 Mark VII Bill Blass.  I started playing with it after I stopped driving the bird, and now I cant stop!

here is the car before I got midevil on it.

Yes it definitely needs gloss... I don't get making a car look like it's an incomplete refinishing project that cannot afford to be finished. And the car looks too good to be treated like a rat rod.

If this is considered fab, then my naturally faded and worn original paint must be the envy of all...

fella's the pictures lie, the old paint was reched.  the clear coat was terminal.  it looked BAD.  I will eventually paint it but for now I like the fact that if it gets scratched it's no big deal.
