I just came across this photo and posted it in another thread but it got me to wondering how many people have 'vintage' photos of our cars?
Vintage meaning taken in the day... of course photos of cars sitting on a dealership lot would be great but that might be asking too much. :D
Here's a 1983 TC taken in 1984.
Feel free to share anything you have.
Here's what our 1st Cougar looked like back in '85 (old pic)

note...this is not the cougar we owned either.
You'll have to pardon me while I DROOL over that 1972 Firebird Formula in the background!!! I've got one of a different color sitting in my driveway waiting for a restoration ;-(
late 80's
My 87 in the early 90s, parked next to my 88 E-250

Isn't that a 69/70 Shelby next to the Bird?
I can't see enough of it to tell for sure ;-(
Great photos! Keep 'em coming. :burnout:
Yes it is, the picture was taken at the Willow Springs Raceway during a Shelby convention.
I apologize for the resolution but I do not own a scanner so it's a pic of a pic
Me in my 86 TC somewhere on I-95 between Worcester MA and
FT Lauderdale FLA In March of 93 or 94
notice the old school cassette to CD adapter :D
(and yes I was going 80mph)

I posted it before but it's always fun to watch again.:D
Maybe as close to dealership photos as we'll get.
That Ford commercial is awesome, thanks for posting it.

Here's one of my 83 TC taken by the original owner....

I don't know why, but every time I see that pic, I feel the need to listed to Styx. lol
I think it's the glasses
LOL @ Jerry! Actually it was 80's new wave music for me in the Bird on my state of the art Ford Premium Sound system!
I still listen to new wave on a regular basis...
cool! Someone with musical taste, nice to see! What are you listening to these days?
Hmm, probably my favorite band is New Order. Alot of British stuff really. The Cure, OMD, Depeche Mode, Erasure....
Wow talk about old skool, I've watched it a couple of times already lol.
WOW.... super big flashback
Probably already been seen before but thought I'd post this here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=17w1cSsqAZ4 Actual 1983 Cougar commercial.

Vintage!:D
I love the first comment on that video!
"Yeah, I bought a 1983 Mercury Cougar for $200, in 1994. Let's just say I got what I paid for."
:rollin:
Yeah, I saw that too and made me raise an eyebrow. Probably the guy didn't do research or got a pretty abused one and wasn't willing to do anything so ended up like this: :toilet: But we know better.
Get a load of this commercial for the 88 T-bird. It's soooo 80s.

Here is a couple pics from back in the 80's of our 83. My parents traded a 79 in on this and this was the car I took my drivers test in. It was a very early 83 ordered in Raven Black to match a 57 we had then. I was given the car when I finished school in 86 and I proceeded to trade it for a corvette. Used to see the car from time to time but that was 20 years ago and have no idea what became of it.
My Dad's '83 Cougar 302 around 1987. It was red with tan interior, and had manual windows and locks.

Late again.... I wanted to post this last week.:hick:
8/10/83 is when I bought my TBird and this picture was taken just after I got it.
27 years later, I guess this is a vintage photo!
