i ordered a front sump chrome oil pan for my 302 that i have almost complete and ready to put in.... will a front sump oil pan work? its going in a 84 cougar..... thanks in advance....

this car sits on the ground so i need a pan thats tucked as much as possible.... when i put the oil pickup on i got to thinking and sure enough....

not much cam in the engine.. what casting 351w heads you going to run? D00E? C9?

Make sure you go stock pan style for clearance then. The 7 qt will hane down a tiny bit more.

The one I posted on Ebay is a stock style replacement pan.....in chrome.

its a 302 .030flat head pistons  with 351 heads yes there c9.... 498 lift 290 duration. hey any of you gearheads know what pushrods to use?

Make sure you have the head bolt hole inserts.5.0 (302) head bolts are smaller than 5.8 (351).Didn't know if you already thought of that.

Oh,about the opil pan....your welcome.LOL.Glad it saved you money.Use the one piece gasket.
