Title: Catalytic Converter Location
Post by: 88CougarGT on March 17, 2010, 06:33:59 PM
Does anyone think the "Visual inspection" guys will care If I put my Aftermarket cats in the Extension pipes behind the H-Pipe?  I don't want to cut up my H-Pipe.  I can't seem to find if there is a location requirement.

Anyone with experience in this?

Thanks,
-Z

Towards the back of the car? Not sure if thats a good idea. The closer they are to the engine the better.

Just buy some dummy cats, they are cats that have been hollowed out, cheap and pass most inspections.... unless you want real ones.

I already have some cheap weld in ones.  I looked for dummy ones, but couldn't find them.  I'm not too concerned about their function.  It's a recreation car and rarely gets driven.
