I would like to swap my 3.8 to a 5.8 will the ecu and the wiring for the electrical components need to be changed or just at the connectors?

If you have a '88 SEFI 3.8 at the minium you will need a '87-'88 HO 5.0 Mustang ECU(EEC) and the wiring harness' back to the EEC from a '88 5.0 Bird/Coug. A '86 or '87 can be used but the connectors are slightly different. IF you are going to have a large cam, aftermarket heads, etc then plan a '89-'93 Mustang Mass Air EEC air meter and conversion harness..

If you plan on Mass Air a Mustang main harness can be used but it will require some modifications..
