I was thinking about getting one......

Why?
I'm going to go against the grain here and ask why not?
With a deep sump, it's a lot easier to conduct an oil change. You drive down a bumpy road, knock a hole in the pan, viola! oil's drained. Sealing it afterwards, well that's another story.
It's probably a waste of money. I'm running a GT40 engine like you will be running and I'm not sloshing all the oil away from the pickup on a stock 5 quart pan ;)
I was also wondering what the reason was for wanting it?
well It looks....nice? Idk man 120 bucks for something that you might not need yet....
I like that it's shiney
It's still a 302. It IS a waste of money for your app. MAYBE run a windage tray but other than that, change your oil. Why spend that kind of money and hassle for no good reason at all.
LOL, like oil changes are SO tough with a stock pan......LOL
I was looking at them, but not really leaning either way.I've actually never had issues with the stock pan,and the pan on the engine (stock) is brand new.I was just "wondering".I can't do it now anyway,I have to get an aftermarket mass air meter for my 24# injectors. Thanks for the comments.
Hey I know like nothing about mass air flow, why would I get/need them? I wanna be able to run with the big dogs,performance-wise, and im on a small-medium budget (Meaning every almost every dollar i make goes into the car.)
That post had nothing to do with oil pans,but......If you're doing an H.O upgrade,Mass Air really isn't necessary. If you decide to install a biger than H.O cam,it's probably a good idea to do the conversion. For you, starting out,do the basic H.O conversion and get familiar with the car and engine, then worry about "running with the bog dogs" later.
I gotta stop skimming through threads and actually read them. geesh. Anyway, the money could probably be better spent else ware. I'd only consider a new aftermarket pan if i was rebuilding and i had the engine out already.
Yeah maybe. I told him not to get the pan;)
The engine is on the stand.I've decided to focus on having the seats re-done in black (with heaters),window tint,MSD plug wires, and installing the engine when time allows.
Heaters? haha sweet. Im getting window tint for 200 bucks with 15% visibility in the back and the doors will have 35%. is that a good deal?
Window tint here, for 5 windows and lifetime warranty is $145.00. The Sport is getting closer by the week.I just got my "new" BBK headers in the mail. They are chrome, never used, but have a little light surface rust (non-issue).I'm going to sell them.I'm keeping the one's I have.

I wont be using them again, ever. :beatyoass:
I had a set on my pickup about 4 yrs. I developed a misfire problem, after taking the wires off and disecting one, I found the inner copper had corroded totally and wasnt even making contact anymore. This was on several of the wires.
I had maybe 20K miles on them.:punchballs:
They were the 8.5mm superconductor set, just a FYI for everyone.
You get a new pickup with a 7 quart pan......
I've got a 7 quart Canton with a pickup waiting to go on.....have to tap it for feed and return lines for the blower first.
