Not sure on that but I can tell you that it sucks lol. I hate that  with a passion. There is stuff like dynamat but at about half the price look into that cause it prob be the same to use undercoatin.

you can use truck bed liner for an undercoating.
I used Zero-Rust under my 87. should be easy to touch up too. not that I plan on driving it in snow, salt or anything like that.

I've used a few different paints on both cars such as POR-15 and several Eastwood products, but I've only applied them with a brush.
