Title: Interior pieces needed (sentry, trim, shift bezel and etc)
Post by: kingcars on February 25, 2010, 11:21:40 AM
Recently had an incident with a shop and they damaged the following things (blue interior):

System sentry - Done
Heater controls (manual lever style) - Done
Trim/Bezel that goes around the sentry, controls, radio, etc - Done
5 speed shifter boot/bezel

I'm looking for them to be in very good shape because when I brought the car to the shop, they were all in perfect shape except for the shifter bezel.

I'm also looking for a stock Mustang 5.0 shift .  Vinnie gave me one in perfect shape but I somehow lost it during heater core replacement.  Don't ask me how that happened, I have no earthly idea.

I'm in King, NC 27021

I might have a spare heater control...I'm not sure what condition it's in. After I eat lunch, I'll run out and grab it, and snap some pics for you.

Thanks.  I'm looking for the pieces to be as nice as mine were before the incident (they were in perfect shape).  The bezel, heater control, and system sentry are being replaced on the shop's wallet.

The heater control is a little dirty, and the setting  is a little scuffed, but it's otherwise ok. I thought I had another one as well, but couldn't find it..yet...

If it passes muster,  send me a PM and we'll get to the details :D

Thanks for the pics.  I think I'll wait to get a piece that's in better condition.  I'm normally not picky, but I just want to get my interior back to how it was before the shop accident:

I would be furious.

I have a  (stitched leather) from a TC or a Mustang with the shift pattern and Ford logo, leather boot from a 1st-gen Taurus SHO (not sure if it would fit), and the dash surround with no broken feet or screw holes...  near mint condition, actually.

I may also have the sentry somewhere.

Well I have deals set up already for the sentry, heater control, and dash bezel.  However, I am still working on the shift bezel/boot, and .  Pics are definitely appreciated, thanks!

Hmmm...valid point.  Does my car's current condition count at all, assuming I get it on the road again myself?

Depends on the kind of work that's needed/successfully completed.

Aww, dangit, you had to go and tack on the "successfully completed" clause at the end.

I heard about your little mishap!!! lol Now if you were racing someone and they had to drive you into the curb to keep you from passing them and you bent up the front end, that would be a much better story!!!
Do I have to teach you everything? :flame:

Do we have to come down and help you fix your car?

Hmmm, what kind of mileage does that beast get?  About 8mpg?  :D

770 miles divided by 8mpg is 96.25 gallons.  What're gas prices these days?  I can't even remember the last time I had to buy gas!  :p  I'm guessing about $2.75, which would be $264.69.  One way.

Yikes.
