I am thinking of buying the same spoiler. This is a car from NATO. I want to hear what you think of it. I think I like it because it is different.

No.
Do not like.
no no
No whale tails.
I've not seen a spoiler I like on a bird yet
new spark plug wires and rotor are mods?? must be related to Mason. LOL!
Ugh that spoiler is like a turd on a rose and asking if it smells good. Car looks fine, except for that god awful spoiler...
NO!!!!!!!! Spoilers look good on MN12's but Fox's not so much.

Thats a Saleen spoiler for a Mustang-Def a no go for a Tbird.
Hmmmmm. It is something different. I am not in love with it but....... My other options were the Saleen S-351 or a Feiro GT spoiler. This car just looks like it needs a spoiler.
NONONONONONO!
I would try a 1994-98 Mustang Cobra wing though... I had one on my 1985 and mounted it later on my 1989. It looks great at so many angles, especially looking at it from side to back and the wing pedistals have the curve on the bottom rear edge to match the ducktail on the Tbird decklid.
Two more...
+1 hahaha.
Anyway, I'm not digging the spoiler.
Hideous. Not many spoilers look good on these cars.Especially the Birds with the very short deck. The Cougars have a bigger trunk and look better with them, but the Birds, especially the '87/'88's.......No.
one more...
Ha ha I totally forgot I took one of the left over bird emblems from the original wheel covers and stuck it on the high mounted brake lamp lens in the back window...
No plans to put a wing on my 84 ever. I am over spoilers and wings. Now I only like the low profile one like my 08 Mustang has or an intergrated ducktail type.
WHY ?????????.......................................................................................would you want to do that.
I gotta say NO.
That wing does not look good at all ! Here is a picture of the wing on the back of my Bird . Its not a great picture but the wing looks good on the bird maybee because of the color contrast .

I have YET to see any kind of wing/spoiler look good on these cars. Why? Because they got it right from the get-go.
The ONLY one that is even passable in my opinion is the ducktail-type that was offered way back when. The rest look like an afterthought, or just like complete poop.
I understand the desire for something different, but bolting something akin to a tumor to the trunk of your car isn't the way to do it.
This one has grown on me, but I'll probably do away with it when the car gets redone.

I say Its your car if you like it go for it!! Every one has different taste's styles and this is what makes the car hobby so much fun.If everyone did the samething it would be boring. Thats just my 2 cents worth
I actually do like yours the best... I know I had a Cobra one in the past and I liked it then, but I like the timeless classic simplicity of the one you have painted black which ties in with the same ones used on classic Mustangs, etc. It's a light functional looking design that keeps the back end from looking too fussy or weighed down.

Thanks Watchdevil , Here is another shot of it .

I'm with Chuck on this one. Some cars look great with them, and some cars look better without them.
Here is another shot of the wing . I think it looks natural on my Bird .

It's absolutely perfect! It's lightweight looking and does not draw attention from the natural sillhouette of the car they way it would look without it. I find it most attractive to balance the Grabber colors with some sort of black contrast in the right places. That's what I always liked about the old Boss and Mach 1 Mustangs. I learned that I don't like the Grabber colors as much without some black to break it up, for example the new Grabber Blue Mustang just does not look as good to me without some black on the powerdome hood to balance it out as well as some other color keyed areas. Now I am not at all saying you need black on your hood or anywhere else because I think the lines of your car absolutely does not necessitate it.
Gotta always love the Turbo Coupe nose... Clean and simple and yet still ties in with the Thunderbirds of the past with the browed headlamp shape and smooth nose in between... Yep it's got me conflicted that I should try a newer nose on my 84... But the guilt I would have abandoning the 4 eyed look... I need two cars so I could enjoy each look... Ya know I could quite possibly give up the 08 Mustang over something like this... LOL!
Is that an aftermarket wing, or one off some other car?
I believe it is a ford motorsport wing
I'm kind of partial to the one on my silver TC, not sure what it came from but I would like to find a few more.(http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i143/88turbocoupe/img072.jpg)
Here's the one on my Sport, was a dealer package with the ground fx.
I'm partial to that 1.99 gas in the background!
I remeber A&A specialties used to have a small and a large wing for our Tbird.....but they have been out of business for a while. Now it is seeing what fits from a fox mustang onto our trunks. Just the matter of finding the right one to make it look good.
It looks like both of those wings are a little longer than mine .
The spoiler on Cougarman's car appears to be one of the universal fit spoilers that can still be found.Very popular in the late 80's and early 90's.The end caps are plastic and the main body is aluminum. You can cut the main body to the desired width and slid the end caps on,and the vertical trunk mounts can generally slide side to side where you want them with a filler piece to fill the groove that they slide in.I had a few,and think I may have one in the garage.I have 4 or 5 spoilers I've found stored out there.maybe I'll get some pics and dimensions and sell them to you guys who want them.I'll never use them.
I could be interested vinnie if there is one similar to what I have. I think the red bird needs a spoiler ;)
TOO BULKY! If u absolutely need one get a small streamline one that looks like part of the trunk....not a whale tail lol.
I like the look of a spoiler on our cars but I've never been a fan of the large spoilers on them like the one off a Fiero, way too big. I have one of the A&A universal spoilers with the brake light on mine. In my opinion it fit the lines of the car perfectly. But everyone has thier own taste.
I agree , its every ones own opinion . Do what you like and if someone doesn't like it , Oh Well !
I would love to have A monte carlo style lip spoiler. I think the wing style are a little too gaudy for my taste.
Plus, rounded spoilers/wings don't look right either. Our cars have a mostly straight trunk lid back there.Rounded spoilers, and spoliers that are too short or too long just don't match up,and "good enough" isn't "good enough".
I always wanted to do something like this.
Yea. Like that but a little bit smaller. Ol'e Nascar style.
