Title: Info on the 2.3T's

As the title states i am looking for info on these motors. Like what is the common issues with them and how good there on gas you know the normal stuff. Im loooking to pick up a 88 TC 95% rust free red interior leather unsure of options but it does have the snowflake rims on it.

here is some really good info. this is how I solved my problem yesterday :D  http://www.turbotbird.com/faqs/  to answer some of your questions...  I get somewhere between 24-30mpg, use motorcraft wires, autolite 764 plugs gapped between .032 and .036, timing set at about 10* and TPS set between .97 and .99v and that should pretty well sum it up for a good tune.  this is how I run mine and they run pretty  good.

The motor's barely broken in.  NATO has great info, and since no one's said it yet, so does TF (http://"http://www.turboford.net/ubb/ultimatebb.php").

Can't tell from the pic, is the right taillight busted or is there something on it?

another question how long does it take for the turbo to spool down after driving it? cuz i know you can just shut them off like a na car.

If you're not beating on it you can just shut it off. If you are beating on it give it a minute. The ihi is water cooled so its not so critical to idle before shutdown. Use a decent synthetic oil, preferably a diesel oil and you'll be fine.
