need to make room in the driveway and i have too many cars.... i need to get rid of the 84 cougar and i've bought a little time from the wife to hopefully see it doesn't meet the crusher..... it's the 84 cougar i bought a few years ago, 6 cyl, charcoal interior, base model..... i'd like to sell the whole thing and be done with it, but i'm not opposed to selling it for parts if it's going to end up sped.... it has the 3 speed auto in it, which shifts good and the base rear end.... i parked it because it was starting to sputter and i found that the injector was sometimes "spitting air" causing the intermittent stumble.... so, my other cougar needed front struts and bushings so this car became permanently parked.... since it had much better tread than my other cougar (i was using the 84 as a daily driver), i swapped the factory steels with the gold enkei apache iv's from my other car... THEY ARE INCLUDED WITH THE CAR....
the car is pretty solid, surface rust underneath and on most components and it's only penetrating on the passenger door.... otherwise it's pretty solid..... it had a turbo coupe hood and really nice taillights... the door panels are there and are in great condition.... the seats are really nice too and the silver applique dash pieces are spot on..... the only window that works is the driver side, both power lock actuators were removed for my other car (that's why the panels are off) as well as the radio missing (the bezel is still there, but it's for a buttstuffog, not digital radio).... it has a pioneer cd changer in it too..... with a little help, this car can become a daily driver again.....
it DOES run, but needs to be towed because of the py tread on the tires and the fact the front strut bushings are shot and it's not aligned....
the first $300 takes the car and it really needs to be gone SOON, so if you want the whole thing ACT NOW!!! if i can't get a sale for the whole car done by the 21st, i'll start stripping it and sell it for parts... if it's not out of the driveway by the end of the month, the wife says she'll call the junkyard herself and get it gone..... i guess that's what i get for titling it in HER name :)..... but i'll still keep her anyway.....
vehicle is located in st augustine, florida which is 40 miles south of jacksonville on i-95
thanks :)
pics
wish you were closer id take it
if you part it out i have a laundry list of parts i need.
i'm going to give it about another week or so, and then i'll start dismantling............
Somebody seriously needs to buy that car.
That was an awesome color combo.
its been so long since iv seen you i may be interestedbut god what will i do with it
someone should save this 4 eye. there getting harder and harder to find. if i had a way to get it and also have the cash to get it you would have it sold. But good luck on the sale. Can't you just store it somewhere?
hell i have the cash but no way to get it
Well, since you asked me, you'll restore it and drive it with great pride and joy.
:flame: <<< I knew that would happen.
it can be shipped if necessary..... i work at a car dealer.... i think it's under $200 to ship it to atlanta via transporter.... i'd have to check
bear..... wouldn't you rather have my 83..... it may be next :)
Do you mean the car in the left picture?
Easily restorable condition... look at those seats! No rips or tears.. If the plastic dash shell is not peanut brittle that would be a big plus for this year car.
the dash is solid, just ugly, and the headliner fabric is gone, but i cleaned the shell of the glue and put it back in..... the seats don't even have stains.... the carpet is pretty good, the knee panel, glove box and center console lid were swapped so they're ugly too....
going to leave it up til friday as a solid car and then start to part it over the weekend :(
yes.... toying with the idea....
Do you have more pics of it (interior / exterior / engine)?
i dont know whwther or not you still have the car if you do let me know i have a few things i'd like to take off your hands

i have a gold t-bird. I like the gold rims. Price shipped to 43125? I wonder if it would be cheap to put them on a greyhound or something.
