Latest issue of AutoTrader Classic.
On cover, Future Collectible Thunderbird under $3000.
Inside is a pretty good article and specs on the 83-86 Birds along with photos of a nice 83 Turbo Coupe. The Turbo Coupe Cougar is also mentioned.
Not online yet, but maybe it will be?

there is no way they will be under 3 grand, with every clapped out shiznitbox going for atleast that just right now( tax time price hike) :punchballs:
X3....while I was there I browsed around and signed up.
Our insurance company classifies any vehicle 15 years or older as a "classic" and any car 25 and older as an antique.
We now have 4 antiques and 4 classics in our stable. :D
Hard to believe my 95 Mustang GT is a classic now.
Wow hard to believe I can call mine an antique now!
I plan on getting classic tags for my 87 Bird. It's easy to do so here in Philadelphia as long as the car can pass for somewhat stock looking. I don't know what it's like in other areas though.
I also have a 1977 Toyota Celica GT Coupe that I got antique tags and insurance for. I had to take off the previous owner's alloy wheels and bolt on some stock wheels. I took a few more things off to make it look like a stock car. Got the antique tag within a week of sending in the photos and application.
