What did the interior of these cars look like? What was special about the Heritage?
Could you get the auto shifter on the floor?
Following up a lead.:burnout:
Any interior pics would be great.
The "Heritage" edition was only offered in '83. After that, I think the changed the name to Elan. It basically just had more creature comforts standard, special badging, and coach lights. Although I have found some coach lights on non-Heritage models.
found a car advertised as a 85 Heritage tbird.
As posted above, I always thought the Heritage was last offered in '83.
I have a 83 Heritage. Nice interior pkg. with leather and other gizzmos. This is my first T-Bird I bought (1992)

What was the special edition 'Bird they had in '85? Was that the 30th? Blue with a 5.0...maybe that person actually has one of those but got his info wrong? Just thinking outloud...
Heritage is '83 only, Theres a possibility some parts (leftovers?) were carried over to some '84 models (elan).
'84-86 were then called "Elans".
As far as i know (and seen) No heritage has ever had had a floor shifter from the factory. Not sure about elans though.
other than a scam this is the most likely scenario i think :hick:
My guess is it was a 85' that someone put Heritage emblems on,
or its a 83' Heritage and he was just wrong on the year.
Some pics from him should easily clear it up.:hick:
Nice bird 302 PWR!
i like the tire combo alot can you tell me what tires sizes are those width and profile front to back thanx alot!
Haha thats not my car, mines silver on red cloth. The red on red leather is 83-88T-Bird Guy's.
I do love the seats with the birds embroidered in them!
I assume you are refering to my Heritage.
rears are 275-50-15 BFG Drag radials.
Fronts are 225-50-15.
That car needs to be lowered in the back.
Last year I converted it from EFI to carb and at the first bracket race I took it to, I won the big race of the night. Very satisfying. :D
I agree....
Mine are leather but the T-Bird emblem really makes the seats look special.
( I had to add the black seat belts years ago when we had a baby seat....guess I need to take those out now....lol)

The Heritage, 'Elan, and LX were basically the same thing: the loaded up luxo model in the T-bird line.
