Hey all! Im selling the 302 that we took out of our 1985 thunderbird. It has an original 32,000 miles on it and when it was in the car it was running fantastic!!
If anybody is interested, we're selling it for $500 but negotiable!
The motor is sitting in our shop in a safe place, I will take pictures and post them ASAP!

Honestly, I'd be glad to list my full location.. But for safety reasons, and for the sake of not having somebody come down and steal the engine.. I'm gonna keep that confidential, but for those who are seriously interested, I suggest you call or email me and then I'll give my address..

As far as the air cleaner, you need just the lid?. or the whole assembly??
The rules are the rules, but Long Island works for now. (BTW...posting up a phone # is pretty much the same as giving your address, esp if it's a land-line.) So...

I am from Garden City.. the engine, on the other hand, is not in or near my house... the engine is in Nassau county, if you call, you will be informed with all you need to know..

cool, post the carfax report of proof for the mileage and blot out the vin for your security, that would help it sell.
a CFI 302 wont bring that much unless someone really wants it. It does however have the second largest throttle body offered in CFI, second to the earlier HO.
The CFI intake is junk to me honestly, but that doesn't make this engine junk either.. It's a 302, E7TE headed motor.. the intake can be changed to anything anybody wants.. heads, internals.. everything...
I just want to sell the motor: 1) because I don't need it, 2) it will help put at least a small sum into our project car...
the carfax is helpful and I'll probably do that, I have pictures of when the engine was in the car but I should've taken a picture of the Odometer... I'm pretty sure that the last time I read the Odometer, it said something like 32,400 miles precisely... it ran and drove perfectly well!

Rule #4 of the marketplace...
# When selling any item, you MUST include your location (city, state/province). Posting something for sale does not do you any good if nobody knows where to find it! Recently an 88 HO motor sold on another board I went on. Intake to oil pan 40K miles......$300 WITH the wire harness.......
Like I said before, I dont want anybody coming down and STEALING my engine.. it HAS happened in the past and it won't happen again...
My location, is Garden City, NY.. My father's business is in Merrick, NY.. We will have the engine at the station if somebody wishes to see it.. The motor, however, is ON LONG ISLAND, if it matters that much to know where it is.. I wouldn't be selling an engine that is in another state or miles and miles away from where I live.. common sense to me..

Our engine isn't 40,000 miles, although close.. and plus we know exactly how the engine was running... there is no reason for us to be dishonest about it, or provide false advertising.. not that I'm saying that the information on the add that you saw was false...
The engine that we're selling also comes with the A/C compressor and power steering pump still attached and in proper working order.
The engine is still $500 negotiable.. Shipping arrangements can be made!

Please forgive me for my attitude, I didn't mean to bite anybody's head off. This isn't my typical attitude and you can tell that it's not from the way I respond in my swap thread, but I just want to do things right and don't want to seem unprofessional when selling an item.....guess I blew that.
But honestly, thank you for letting me know about my location in my profile, if only I knew better...and sooner.. You didn't bust my chops, I just didn't understand...I guess I'll repost the ad
