Nothing here so far. The storm is supposed to just brush us, with only 6" expected. The south s of the province is expecting a foot or more, though. Which sucks, because I've got to go to Yarmouth, on the southern tip of Nova Scotia, to visit family (and pick up a trunkload of lobster) at some point today or tomorrow...

It's still snowing here, started falling a lot later then they said it would (shocking). I'd say 6-8" and still going steady, they say another 2-4 but I haven't actually been outside.

It dumped anywhere from 15" to 20" here depending on what report you listen to.....I'd guess around 17 or 18....

There's a chance of more tonight.  My new tires actually make it possible to move the Cougar so I was able to clean decently in the driveway though...

Ha...We got by pretty much unscathed. Being in the snow belt we usually get the most of the area but with this storm we got maybe 1-2".

What? Your in the same state as me and barely got any?! Something is wrong with this picture. I'm not sure how much we got, probably about 10 inches.

Still no snow here, and they've reduced the expected amount for my area to 2" :D You can see in the RADAR shot below that the snow is staying south of me...

Ha, usually its the other way around. east of 95 gets rain all winter and we get 8-12" of snow every other time it snows.

I can't count how many times i had to call in late because i had to clear snow at 3am. (work in boston) and my foreman/super wonder about that because they got rain or a few inches of snow.

i think we got 16 inches, the news said 23 or something but i dont see that anywhere on the ground. not sure what the total is at my old home.
god i hate the day after it snows here, roads full of suv drivers flying and sliding all over the place because they cant drive. i wish i had my truck still.
maybe ill get lucky and someone will hit me so i have an excuse to show up late for work.

I'd rather have rain then snow. It rained here then froze overnight and somehow melted.

Lol,not a bad stink. I made pizzelles so there's a very distinct smell of anise even today! Plus choc chip cookies, banana bread, apple cinnamon bread, and butter crunch.

Sugar cookies and all the food stuff still have to get made. If you ever leave my house hungry on a holiday it's your own fault...

Your big snowfall ended up being a big melt, up here. We had solid snow for two weeks now, and thanks to this Southern 'storm', almost all of it is gone. . So much for that White Christmas. The lake is actually melting.

Unlike the last two years where we got snow on Christmas, this year's going to just be partly cloudy, just above freezing.

If you ever leave my house hungry on a holiday it's your own fault...

I always tell everyone "If you ever leave my house still hungry, it's your own fault" (that's on any given day. lol)

My cupboards have never been so empty and they aren't empty at all, I bet we could get by for at least another week without getting groceries... I am just not used to the empty spaces that are there right now.
I am cooking my first Christmas dinner this year.... kind of excited...kind of nervous. It'll all be ok though, my kids will all be here and that's all that matters.

As for snow... we have about 8" right now... supposed to get rain on christmas then more snow. I just hope the weather holds for the girls to get here from Baltimore.
I will say though that a couple weeks ago we got a bad storm and there was quite a bit of snow. the roads hadn't been plowed and we were out and about...but our truck went through that snow like it was nothing! gotta love 4wd!

We got over a foot in the first one last week, 3-4" with the second one the day before yesterday and it's snowing again right now. Between tonight and Christmas Day, we're supposed to get another 16" or so. Merry Christmas to us! It is so beautiful!!

It took about 3 afternoons to build because the temps needed to be 30 plus degrees to make good bricks.  yesterday it was like 35 and us boys finished it off real quick like.

Rained all last night into today and will continue into tomorrow and all of it is freezing...

Looks like someone laid plastic wrap over all the snow. The driving is off and on dangerous and I can't really get much done at work safely I doubt I'll even make it in tonight.

Just about all gone now with the rain. I'm glad I flew back when I did (they asked me if I wanted to stay in CA for a couple more days and I declined). If I'd stayed one more day I would have been stranded there.
