I have a chance to trade my 1989 Mustang for this 1984 Convertible with a 2.3 Turbo Swap. Good looking swap too. I have looked at the car and driven it. Runs smooth and pretty quick. My first time driving a 2.3T. I like the car alot. He even went as far as swapping the dash, console, seats, and rear end. The TC was there on site and TOTALED! He got every usable part off of it as possible. Even swapped the steering column and got the TC scoops and molded them into the stock mustang hood.
Here it is, Let me know what you guys think!

Gee, almost everything I like about the TC wrapped in a 4-eyed mustang body? What are you waiting for.
Thats what im thinking! I want a TC but cant let go of my Mustang's but this would be perfect for me. I get everything from the TC wrapped up in a Mustang. Just wondering what everyone thought.
not big on the bbs rims so if anyone is interested in them i will trade them
That would be the ONLY Stang ragroof I'd ever own...get it, like yesterday!
Also, more pics...
And...the hell with anyone who says it's "Just a Mustang." :flip:
At least the guy didn't trash a decent TC just for the drivetrain.

What are ya lookin' for? Flakes? Turbines?
What size are the BBS wheels? Does the thing have the 11" front brakes? (assuming it does since the ad mentions abs...)
i wouldnt mind a set of flakes with decent tires
I would jump on that. Look it over real good and make sure everything is okay.
they are 17'' rims. not sure on the width
I have a set of snowflakes on my car right now, a little curb rash on a couple of them, have all caps. the front tires are pretty good, with 75% tread, the backs were just cheapies I bought somewhere just to move the car around on. Bad thing is, shipping would cost a fortune lol
it, why can't I be close to all the good stuff :hick:
it's the price I pay for my isolation though...
haha yeah. You are a good ways away. maybe we could chain ship them lol
from nc to tn
tn to michigan
so on...
if only there was enough people in each state on the site willing to help
lol...could work, ;)
haha it was a thought. always thinking of ways to try and save money. get pretty good at it when your broke! lol
Hell yes! As mentioned before, get that yesterday!
If all goes well hopefully it will be in the garage next weekend. We both will be out of town this week so we cant swap during the week but maybe the weekend
Just look over it good. A conersion like that takes a lot of work and so forth. Make sure everything seems to work as it should. You don't want to get stuck with something that nothing works, you know?
Nice looking car,but what about the a/c and heat and other little things.I've seen that car somewhere before.
I have never seen fox 79-93 convertible with my own eye and I think I would buy it as a nice summer car for few years. I still like fox thunderbirds more than stangs. I say good luck with thinking. Looks like a very nice car.
I bet that is a very light set-up. I'm kinda jealous.
here are some more pictures. the top is ! he has a new one to go with it though.
Oh and the TC scoops are functional

It looks like a nice car. It looks well built in the pics, but I guess it's hard to tell for sure. If you've seen it in person, driven it, and own/owned the cars you have, I don't think you need our advice. Just go with your gut (and GET it)!!
