So i guess it's pretty nasty outside. My employer, Cyride the public transit bus, has cancelled service today. I'm not sure they've ever cancelled for a whole day before. I could use a day off. Too bad the weather sucks too much to go anywhere. A ton of roads are closed, as pictured below.
WHOO-HOO a DAY OFF.Sounds like the perfect opportunity to make some hot chocolate, pop in a DVD and just relax.
I guess you were not dreaming of a early White Christmas huh !!
Chicago was on the rain/sleet side. Now we're getting snow but only an inch or two :D
:flip:
We got around a foot. There are drifts in the country at least 8 ft. deep.
Wow, that's crazy! We've been puting up with some very strong winds, it ripped off one of my gutters and nocked over and broke some Christmas decorations. But as far as the temp. it's 57 now but it's only supposed to be 27 tomarrow.
Dude! Send some of that this way. We only got 3 measly inches. I woke up late because my stupid alarm clock didn't go off and all the roads were plowed and it was nearly 40 degrees. Where is all the snow!?!?
We got a little over a foot with big drifts everywhere. It's 0 now, 5 below tonight with a 25 below wind chill. Hello winter!
Someone say hot chocolate?
Wow, that sucks!!!! I wouldn't want to leave my house!
We had about 8-10" today and this evening a thunder/lightning storm. I've never seen that before.
Thundersnow! It's pretty rare, but always weird when it happens. I've only seen it twice
Happens a lot in Buffalo when we get lake effect storms.
We have had 8" stick to the ground in the last week. Its cold today. Windchill is -7 degrees this morning and 5 degrees without windchill factored in. Some places within 10 miles of me are at -23 windchill.
High today should be 15? I think they said...
We got 2 inches of snow :D
It's 1* with a wind chill of -14 right now
...and in my driveway. I've been trapped at home for a day and a half! Even the Mountaineer's AWD couldn't get out!
It's 12 degrees here now, when I got home this morning at 12:30 am, it was just a hair over 2, but the windchill was terrible, something like 25 or 30 below. Normally the truck will warm up in about 10 minutes...I was halfway home before I had heat. At least I was dressed for it lol. We didn't have but a couple inches of snow, but this cold needs to go back to Canada. I sure as hell don't like 2 degrees. :rollin:
We got 18" of snow here......and i spent close to 20 hours in a plow truck for my landlord making sure we at least had a path through to the streets. It was deep enough on the streets themselves that I was sing with the plow when it was in its full upright position. Only got stuck once.....and dug myself the hell out. The Explorer did well... not once stuck!
I still have no snow in all this storm talk.
no snow here either but their talkin saturday for some freezing rain.
jerry are you serious? weve been getting blasted in angola,

my lovely truck erica was lovin this new thing we call snow, shes prolly never seen it in her 20 years of life.
that was yesterday morning, we got way more again overnight
We didn't get much more than an inch either. But since I'm on the upper side of that big storm front you know what that means, lol. :flame:
We got 1/2 inch, which melted when it changed to rain and the temp shot up to 50. 60MPH winds though...
