Would like to know if the right front freeze plug can be replaced without removing any other parts in that area???

I supervised (let my son-in-law do all the work) the replacing of one in a Taurus about a year ago.
To get the plug out:
Drilled a small hole in the center of the plug.
Cut a ½ in slice off a PCV pipe. Put the PCV around the plug.
Put a lag screw through the hole in a fender washer. Screw the lag screw into the plug until it pulls it out.
Install a rubber expansion type plug. If it is in an awkward position ( and they always are with the engine in the car) you can't install a metal plug.
