Title: 5.0 motor mounts/k member

do all the V8 83/88 t-birds have the same k member and use the same style mounts?  I ask because mine has mustang style mounts which i would asssume it then has a mustang k member?

'83-mid '86 had a similar K-member as the Mustang.  The body attachment height is a little off, but the motor mounts are the same.  Mid-'86-'88 had their own motor mounts with perches attached to the K-member.

The mid 86-88 style are no only a bitch to replace VS the Stang style, they are also weaker.

Chuck W type 6 mounts remedy that.  Yeah, I know, a shameless plug for Chuck.

Come on chuck is my hero. With his mounts i have clearance between the headers and steering column.and the oil pan has pleanty of room between the stablizer bar. Everybody likes how the sits in the car. 351 in a 88 tbird.well worth the money.
