i need help finding out if my Fuel Injector Pressure Regulator is going bad? could any one give some things that could happen when its going bad?
Gas comes out of the vac nipple. Go to an AZ and borrow a Fuel pressure test set. A more common problem is the plastic line in the tank failing.
What is it doing?
Rough idle, missing, strong gasoline smell at the engine, and a feeling of running rich.
At least, this is what happened to my truck, and I replaced the regulator, solved the problem. Good luck!
rough idle sometimes and when i turn a corner and get on the gas it seams like it going to stall but it dose not. after like 3sec then it just picks up and go like nothing wrong
Gas in the vacuum line.
I had the same problem. My fuel tank baffle inside the tank came apart from the tank itself and caused me grief.I replaced the tank.....good to go.
Ain't the regulator, it don't know right from left... As mentioned sounds like the problem is in the tank, BUT most seem to have at least a little of this problem if there is less than a 1/3 tank of gas... Mine does and the baffles are OK..
its got a new tank on it i know about the bafful thing and i have the tank out a few months back to put a new filter on the pump to stop it and it did for a bit than it started doing it again and it dose it when i try to leave a redlight sometimes.
its hard for me to say whats its doing. its done a lot of thing out of the norm lately
Also if your FPR is going south you will have gasoline in the crankcase. Look for an overfull oil level with a strong smell of gas.
Not necessary, I've seen one that was apparently clogged/locked and would not bypass but never leaked... With a good fuel pump, system had over 100psi(started out trouble shooting a weak fuel pressure problem)...
Ive never had one go south on the lean side. Guess ive just been lucky.
well i got to test it the other day and its at about 32psi
with or without the vacuum line on?
with the vac line on
