Not this one,but one just like it.I wanted a girdle for the 8.8,but I liked this cover a lot.Once it gets here along with the tubular control arms, the replacement diff with 3.73's will go in the Sport. By the looks of it in the picture,I will probably have to drill and tap a hole for a drain (that's easy enough). It looks as if there MAY be a filler cap on the top.Just thought I'd share with the class......

Very nice. Should look nice on the sport.
I wanted one that has drain and fill locations, and I'm assuming (Yeah,I know) that this one can be drilled and tapped.I'll sell my "Rockcrusher" cover I have on there now to make a little something back, plus,I have a buyer for the current diff,so,money will be made, although not much profit.Another thing I like about it is that it's a Ford part.I like to use Ford pieces wherever I can.Sometimes it's not an option, but when it is,I'm all over it.
V-man another piece to your Sport looking better...Nice :headbang:
It'll look great until I stall the differential, then no-one will be able to see it at all.LOL. The biggest reason is I want to be able to fill and drain without removing the cover.
Pertty! That will gain you a 1/4 horse.lol
I've thought about a nice diff cover and then realized that no one can see the black painted one I have on there now :hick:
If the stock steel one had a fill/drain port,I'd keep it.....but it doesn't....so I'm not.LOL.
I like it even more because of that. Gonna polish it up lol?
No polishing, just drilling, tapping, and installing it.Too much labor for something nobody will ever see.
Looks to cool to be under the car.
I could just weld some bungs with plugs on the factory cover and hang the new on a wall in the living room.LOL.
I got it today. That thing is a nice piece of work.It has a few light scratches, but no big deal.I'll go over it with some aluminum polish......but I'm not working for a high shine, just a mid level of sweetness.I got mine a lot less than what the one on Ebay sold for (a hundred bucks),and I got it from the same guy outside of Ebay.I own a piece of a Shelby.LOL.LOL.
why not weld a bung in the stock one to drain the fluid? you can fill the diff through the vent on the pass side axle tube.
Still got that Australian one, Vin?
The bung idea is a no go.I already have the aluminum one,and I'll drill and tapo it and off we go.
As far as the Australian "Rockcrusher" cover,it's still on the car now,but will be finding a new home eventually after i install this differential.
