Should be an easy job! Unbolt the old one and put on the TC header panel. The cars are designed to take air in primarily from the lower intake and under the bumper in the first place. The smooth TC nose would look great in the Sport!

My car is a TC with a 5.0 swap and yes it does tend to run a bit warm, runs 190-200* on the highway and it has a new three core radiator & 180 t-stat... I'm going to a electric fan, but what helps most is increasing the air dam area under the bumper as that's where air enters the front of the car...

Besides the header panel you'll need the inner park lamps, as they are a bit larger than what the grilled snout uses...

What can you do to increase the air dam area?  Are you talking about installing a larger chin spoiler, or enlarging the holes that are already there Tom?

A larger chin spoiler... Have to be careful, too much will drag on speed bumps and, dips...

A TC with the 2.3T and no air dam will over heat on the highway even with a good radiator and BOTH fans running...

Where could I find a larger chin spoiler like that Tom, or would I have to make it somehow?

Vic AFIK you'll have to make your own, dunno if there are any that can be adapted...  I made one from a side panel of a junk water heater to go on the TC I mentioned... That one had the whole bottom of the bumper cover ripped out, so had to be a bit creative LOL...

It's funny you mentioned that bumper cover being ripped out, because the driver's side of my bumper cover is cracked, right where the vent holes are.  I'm still wondering if there's any way I can fix it.  :(

I never needed a larger chin spoiler and mine runs at around 180-190 with a supercharged 5.0L

Some of the guys here (Vinnie, V8Demon) have a Mach 1 chin spoiler on...it *looks* a little bigger than stock..might look into that, as well.

I have the answers....I have a Sport with the 5.0 and mods.I installed a Taurus electric fan (awesome),Turbo Coupe header panel (nose),and a 2004 Mach 1 chin spoiler.I had to trim about 5 or 6 inches from the ends or else the spolier would hit the tires, but it looks great, and is very functional,AND,as I stated in another thread, when it hit a high of 117 degrees here this summer, the car never over heated or even came close.Check it.......

CAUTION !!!....sweetness below (LOL)......

-a lot of cars i've seen have adapted the '03-'04 mustang mach1 chin spoiler to their cars. fairly small, thin and subtle.  part # 3r3z-17626-aaa. runs about $100-125 depending upon where u buy it from.....

Yes,if she could,she would have pretty babies.LOL.

As far as the chin spoiler,I got mine new from Ebay for about $50.00.It even came in the HUGE flat box. Most come rolled up.If you let them sit in the sun, they'll go back to their shape.Check around,I've seen a lot of them.

I just lined up the spoiler (with the front wheels off due to the length of the spoiler),marked the holes on the bumper cover to align with the spoiler, drilled some holes (about a dozen) and bolted it on.I didn't use the plastic push pins that came with it.I wanted it really secure on the Bird.Be warned......it's a lot lower than the factory chin spoiler,so watch out for the semi-steep grades when you're driving, and the dips in the road.
