Title: did good at the pick-a-part today
Post by: 32VFoxBird on November 18, 2009, 07:25:37 PM
all i really needed was some fasteners, but i found a few items worth getting to sell.

black mustang door panels
black mustang sun visors
2x mustang cowl grills

these im keeping:
air deflecter
sbf mini starter
AOD dipstick and tube
seat mounting bolts
starter bolts
motor mount nuts
hood hinge bolts
bumper cover nuts

and believe it or not i was there from 9:30 to about 3:45. there was a couple of 4-eyed birds out there, but both were V6's and body damage.

Nice find.I'd like to find an untouched Stang GT at the boneyard.I'd be on it like a piranha on a piece of meat. It's supposed to be up around 72 degrees tomorrow,so,I'm going to pick up the differential and anything else that can make the Sport some money (the diff. is mine).

A9L,a/c brackets, steering pump bracket, maybe the seats,GT steering wheel.........If I can find the car at the yards I go to,I can all that for $25.00 or so.If I buy it from the internet, forums,Ebay, etc,I'll spend a lot.

Not all yards are cheap, but the ones I've gone to for the last 12 years are.Once you really get to know the owners, you're "in". I once told Bill (owner of one of the yards) that I'd work for parts when he was short handed. He had trouble for a while keeping help.I'd work about 6 1/2 hours (not doing much),and he'd say to get what I wanted. Not bad.
