Doing my usual ebay routine of searchng "198* cougar" and "1938 buick" I come across this. Now first of all it's a '39, by that front end. Second, it's cool, a very rare hearse with under 20k on it. I was amazed. Then I saw the one picture and did a double take....looked at the description, and they quite openly admit: "there is a break in the exhaust, which has been repaired with a beer can". If you look....it's not even "repaired". There is still a gaping hole. :rollin:
I just thought this was a very odd cirspoogestance. I guess nothing is safe from cob-jobs!!
Although I agree, I think your searches are kind of funny, 8* Cougars and 38 Buicks. You're as bad as I am, 8* Turbo Coupes and 59 Edsels. :D
It's a '38 with a '39 grille. And yep, I have several saved searches, ranging from '95-97 F350's, to '41-67 Mercs, to '75 and older IHC, to '85 Mercedes benz, etc... LOL.
Yeah I laughed at that statement too...seeing as the hubcaps, tailights, hood sidepanels....hood lol, windshield, dash, are also from the '39 model year. Oh also it has three-on-the-tree, which was not introduced until 1939. ;) It may have been a very early build, probably built in '38.
So I assume yer looking for a '38 Buick?
Well no actually....that's already taken care of. :rollin: Both it and the cougar were my dad's cars, I inherited them from him after his illness. I am of course a poor college student and should by no means be looking at parts and other paraphenalia for the car but I do anyway. :hick:
Some things never change. I am the poor parent of college students and I still look at parts I can't afford too....
