Would it be possible to use 94-98 Mustang axles in a turbocoupe rear end, drill out the rotors and be good to go?
Thanks,
Mike
It doesn't look like bolt and go. A MarkVII or 94-98 Sn-95 would have been a better choice.
How about Mark VII disc set up on a Bird/Cougar 8.8? What 5 lug axles??? left Rangers/right Areostars?
I'm converting an 87 V6,AOD/7.5 set up to a 5.0HO,beefy AOD,8.8 I'd like to do a 5lug conversion ect, will Mk VII front rotors and calipers fit my 87 Bird spindles?
or do I need a pair from a Mustang?
Also, what master cyl and prop valve will I need?
A bunch of questions I know but a well planned out project makes a big difference!

yes mine was that way for YEARS sometimes you have to open the center hole in the rotors slightly
Yes. Redrill the axles to 5-lug and open the center hole to match the larger hub on the SN-95 axles.
lol. the 17x9 cobra's se the strut during the "prefit" The lugs are pita and that's without any attempt to put the rear end and brakes on yet. It's raining like crazy and always seems like something to stop you :toilet:
nice looking bird!!!
Lol. the 17x9 cobra rims rub on the strut during the "test" fit and that's w/o the ft. brakes, springs and rear end yet! It's been raining like crazy and there will likely be more to get in the way of completing this project. :mullet:
Thanks.
It's got some headache issues, but even so it's still a good daily driver. Slow.......but it gets me to work. :rollin:
Oooh, good reading on that one!
I want one bad since ive been driving my dads turbo coupe I hope he buys one for me that he found.
SC what color is your bird?
