The Eq works but the power button won't stay on/locked, do I try some electric parts cleaner or just wedge something in there or what?
Usually, we just have to wedge something in there. Design flaw...
The end of a black zip tie usually works pretty well. :mullet:
i just replaced mine because of this problem.
i tried to glue it down with some strong glue i had laying around but its that kind of plastic that doesnt glue up very well.
I understand the EQ used in the 90s Aerostar is same and has a improved switch...
Solder the circuit closed...I never had the EQ off when I had it still. I replaced one and the replacement broke within a month so I just soldered it so it's always powered on.
thats actually what i wanted to do at first like you ill never turn it off anyway. couldnt find my soldering gun and, sadly, didnt know which terminals to solder up. im no electrician.
This brings back a memory. The switch went on my 88 Sport back in '92. I took the face off and fastened a paperclip aroung the switch button. It stayed on after that no further problems.
