My 1/25 Revell Daytona Charger.I opened and hinged the doors and trunk, and made the headlight buckets functional. The seats tilt forward and the steering is poseable.I widened the wheels and tires for the look I wanted. The tail light assembly started as two lights (as the '69 Charger has),and I made it into one long assembly........

Bandit T/A which I built a million of. Love this car. This was actually a first run of the model kits, no gold parts but instructions on how to make them gold, already cut out t tops, 4 speed instead of automatic and german style trans am decals instead of the "double line" type letters.

Shiny Side Up!
Bill
Wow, cool plastic!! Love it!!
Hey Vinnie, nice 1/25 Daytona Charger, ever thought of building a full size car that color? lol.
No way.Putting a color like that on a real car would be ridiculous.LOL.
What chassis did you use to replace the tube chassis on this one?
For right now its sitting on a super stallion, but I'm not happy with it.
Well keep us informed if you find something that works. I'd appreciate it, I have one of those kits sealed, but I wanna build a replica of my 1:1.
will do I actually have 3 ot them, and think I need one more! lol
I have over 100 models laying around this house... (most of them are broke now thanks to my son... but here is one I managed to save from him.

'95 Saleen speedster, painted Chrysler Electric Blue, fading into Chrysler Smoke Grey
A lot of cool stuff y'all got there!
I have a pair of Saleen S-351 kits...one, i botched the paint up, so the engine and wheels etc got used for the "saleen truck" i'm still working on...
I too was going for a fade type paint job, only from orange to yellow...the other one, I'm still undecided.
my problem is I just can't stay focused on a model long enough to make any noticeable progress. The truck I mentioned? It took me about 4 hours to set "lower" it, set the brakes and wheels to it, and mock it all up, and I literally haven't touched it since, and that was probably 2 years or more ago. lol
I love looking at all these! I used to put together models all the time when I was younger. I still have a few of them.
Ok so I got a little artsi today.

Hey 4bangen,the things that you are doing with that plastic is just amazing. That cuda looks like something that you would walk up on in the salvage yard.Incredible...just incredible.
Have you ever built any newer, '05 and up, Saleen ragtops?
how are you getting that plasic to look like that? are you heating it up?
Nope, I have a couple '99 Cobras, the superstallion, a couple of those saleen speedsters, and a ton of other stangs... Even have an MN12 Cougar that I have not finished yet... maybe I should now that I have an MN12 cougar again...
Ill be doing an 05+ Shelby vert sometime....
This actually makes me want to pick up doing models again.
I use a lighter for most of it. It's my favorite tools of the traid.
I got a few bad ass ebay scores last night! now I just sit and wait till they show up.
im looking for a few different models to build one is the mn12 sc cougar another is the newer mustang pre '10 and a police crown vic.
Bet you could find an SC and a MN12 Cougar kit then combine them.
ive found a few on ebay of the sc cougar the reason why i want one is so i can build it to look like mine and have it to take to car shows when i get the real one done.
Here is a topic about one of my latest models!
http://www.foxtbirdcougarforums.com/showthread.php?t=25244
I'll post more of my latest one tonight! :)
I've got 2 large scale Nascar T-bird models one box is unwrapped but not opened and the other I started to build back in 86 when I was in tech school for the Air Force. It's not finished and still packed. I'll get pics of the 1st one if anyone wants to see it. I had 3 1/24 scale Nascar T-Birds but I haven't been able to find but 1 of them and it needs repair.
I wanna find the Gen I SHO model...
They are out there. RoboCop, and a few other ones.
I just got one of those big nascar tbirds on ebay, still waiting for it. I have a lot of the turbo coupe models, and well I have a lot of models! lol
Great thread!! I'm going to have to take some pics. of mine. If I'm still not working when it gets too cold to detail cars outside I might have to start building again, I have a big box in my basp00get full of new kits to build. I also have the pink prostreet t-bird model, I painted it to match my bird. On a side note, that actual car still exists! It is actually very close to where I live, about 20 miles away. I met the people who own it now and was invited to stop in to see it but I've never made to thier house. I keep saying one day I will, so we'll see.
I here by order you to go there and take A LOT OF PICTURES!!!!!!! or else:beatyoass:
by the way my 85 thunderbird nascar thunderbird came in. Now I keep staring at it trying to figure out how to paint it!
I want to really bad but I hate to just drop in on people. And it sucks I can't remember thier names! Although I know where they live, I guess when I do go I'll have to do my thing I do at car shows, I just call everyone hey, (Hey how you doin?) lol!! Oh one of these days. Oh yeah, the same couple also own a yellow Viper that was also a magazine car. I have seen it, they've had it to a few local shows, that's how I met them.
Good luck with that new model.
I've built these two the latest year.
