1955 Ford Thunderbird Restomod with Supercharged V6
Yeah I thought SC swap! Got all excited since I love the early 'Birds and then I saw this...

I mean its your car do what you want, just odd...
Hey its his car he can do what he wants but man, that does seem like kind of a waste. I never was a big fan of the early birds though...
this post makes me sick... :(
Um.......No.
Why FWD?
a GM FWDmobile? :toilet:
you could buy a 99 buick and uglify it yourself for a tenth of what hes asking.
actually, for what hes asking you could get a REAL made by the actual ford motor company 1955 thunderbird.
It may have been a nice ride had they used T-Bird SC parts instead. That way it would at least still be all Ford.
what a shame.... 1 baby bird wasted :(
Sums up nicely and succinctly in one word:
shiznit.
I'm pretty open about cars...but that = fail.
To each his own, it's the ultimate sacrilege to put a GM engine, and a V6 at that into the 1st Gen Tbird. Fwd? What in f*ck's name...
.....poor little bird
I love my Fords, but I wouldnt be opposed to an LSx motor in one of them. Say what you want but think about back when our hobby started. Anything swapped, anything went.
I like it but I like anything unique but the question is why did he go with the gm motor. He could have went with the SC tbird motor that would have been really cool.
It's more GM than Thunderbird. That would explain the engine and FWD.....
Take note of the airbag steering wheel. I'll bet the VIN is for a 1999 Buick.
Yeah it seems nobody noticed that Paul. I was just goona say they didnt swap motors, they swapped bodys... now there is probably a Ford powered 1999 V8 RWD Park AVE someplace. LOL
I noticed :hick: The problem is restored to factory spec 55-57 T-birds bring big $$$. I know a guy with 3: a 55, a 56, and a 57 restored to factory condition. Each of them is worth $60,000+......
Wow. EEEEK. Wouldn't be caught dead driving that.
Hopefully the body was a shell and a rotted hulk at that. Probably the case. Then id have no problem with it at all. A very incomplete 55-57 is gonna be a helluva c to make complete.
I'd buy it for $3000 or so, just because I like weird custom things like that. While I am not crazy about the GM crossbreeding, It still is a neat idea that was actually completed. I have to give props to ones who actually complete things.
I don't think it's worth the price though, and I don't think he'll ever find a buyer. When you make a car like that, you make it for yourself.
Nothing wrong with the L67 but that is wrong...
