Sleep is over rated anyways, not going to waste the time on it this week lol.
Good deal bro, now use your time more wisely and get yer **** done!!!!! haha
LOL, thats the main reason.
I have really screwed up so far this semester. A lot of factors played into it but I HAVE to get back on track. I got to the point no matter what I couldnt get ahead, and I let that overwhelm me.
Its not like I stay up for days and then crash. I sleep the same as any night. I figure I might as well do it while I can, one day Ill be too old for this.
Self record was 85 hours, no sleep. I can only claim about 82 of those because I might have nodded off before I left for class. At that point there was no way for me to tell. As crazy as that sounds, I really did it. I doubt it will ever happen again and I could go without it. You start losing it after awhile

As in this? I have never heard of him before. I am not one to let things come over me. With the combination of money, school, class, family, and relationship issues next thing I know I am behind in everything.
SHO is paid off, insured, tagged. Dad got a job. GF and I are back together. Now I have to work on the money and class/school situation.
The more I think of my situation the more I think I made the wrong choice. Plan was college for 5 yrs, get masters in general business degree. Get job, go to tech school for 2 yrs. Continue to work and save for 15-20 yrs. Open my own shop.
More I think about it the better tech school followed by college sounds. Then I would have a real job, making money while I was in school. A little late now.
Im glad I have come to realize that Life Plans are really just dreams, and life doesnt give two shiznits about your dreams. Disappointment is much less when you think that way, and easier to continue.
Sleep? What in f*ck's name is sleep...
:drink: did the exhaust on my truck, and watched all 7 seasons of the dukes of hazzard...that was a long 2 days
X3.I usualy go to bed around midnight,up at 5 to get ready for work.On the other hand,I'm glad that I can still do that without suffering.
The longest I have ever stayed up because of work is 76 or so hours. I have been up over two weeks before when I worked a graveyard mail sorting job. Me not being able to sleep is why I was let go from my last job. They said I wasn't taking it seriously. Really I was worroying too much about things that really didn't matter at the time. Right now I go at least 2 straight days a week without sleep, and generally between 2-4 hours sleep a day.
Insomnia!
Its whats for breakfast!
Trust me, putting "life" on hold so you can sleep is sometimes the best you can do. I don't think clear for days if I'm only on 3 hours or less of sleep. Couldn't imagine going to school and doing that.
I used to work 24+ hours straight, barely able to make it home. I had the cops called on me once because I fell asleep in the parking lot with the engine running and the landlord walked by and couldn't wake me up. I decided that if I was to tired to drive I was too tired to work where I might kill someone. It ended up getting me let go from my job, but other then finiancial situations, I could not be happier. I still can hardly sleep, but I can when I need to, and I do not have to worry about killing someone or doing something stupid.
Just my $.02
I wish I could still do that... I typically go to bed before my wife does (around 10pm) and wake up after she does. lol. I envy the fact that she can go to sleep within 2 secs of her head hitting the pillow. Literally. I counted. Could not believe it. I am usually laying there for at least a half-hour or so wondering when is this sleep thing going to kick in. But she is an extremely light sleeper. I am dead to the world.
I stayed up for almost 72hrs once. Feel asleep in the middle of the day. Woke up a few hours later and I could of sworn it was the next morning! I'm running around thinking I am late for work, meanwhile my roommate is lounging around watching TV. He almost let me walk out the door. lol. And that was the last time I did that.
I hear you on getting back on track... I am trying to do the same.
talking to mason now about school after he graduates. I told him a tech school associates would be the best and quickest path.
As logic prevails as it did when i was starting out,, If you show up with no experience and BA or masters, you'll likly have a harder time landing work than a little less paper with no experience.
trick is to get in the door and give the employer a justifiable reason to get you a little cheaper than the next guy.
I have ran with my measly associate for 14 years now with 22 years experience. Works fine for me. Layoffs and all effect anyone, lucky i didnt have 80 grand or more tied up in school. ECPI is a great school. Since i was dirt poor at the time with two kids, pell grants helped and student loans final amount was about 4 grand. yep 4 grand is all i paid. Uncle Sam paid 75% if i maintained a C or better GPA. Ended up with a 3.79 / 4.0
I generally lay in bed for around 5 or 6 hours and sleep less then 3. The only reason why I lay in bed is because after a day or two your back will hurt so bad there is nothing you can do to help it. I have wendsday and sunday off. I stay up through tuesday and saturday night and then crash hard mid-day to try to keep up.
Well I slept last night... When to sleep at around 3:30, got up to go do my work program at 6:30 and I fell back asleep til 11:00. Kinda pissed off about it now. I have a quiz, test and a paper due tomorrow so I guess it was a good idea to get some sleep.
