I started putting my 86 together. It was a 3.8 but now is a GT40 Crate motor, worldclass t5 and soon TC 3.55 8.8. Here are a few pics

And she does run now, I just need to get some rear control arms and get the rear set back in so she rolls. This winter will be body work and spring Paint.

Thanks guys, yeah it is sonic blue and I painted the engine compartment. It was my first time although I had friends there that are painters to advise me. It is work in progress but getting there.

I am about 80-90 miles west of Chicago and about 5 miles south of the winsconsin border just north of Rockford

cool you are only an hour from me it sounds like.  very cool work so far.  if you get good at painting let me know and you can do mine too body work should be done by spring haha.

Hey, looking great! I've still got that TC hood here for you. Save that trunk lid for me! I am sure we'll be able to get together at some point over the winter. Until then, keep up the good work!!

That's not overly far from me. Do you still have that shell left or is it gone?? I'm asking cause I've been toying with the idea of grafting on the taillight section from that year onto my car. I like the lights.  I too have a T/C hood :D

No problem.....Always late on the draw  LOL I would have been up to trading the rear section for the hood, but that's a moot point now though :punchballs:
