Some people have probobly been thinking "what the hell are you thinking painting the tc green like that?" so I desided to let ya'll in on my end game.
This is what the deal is, I've always wanted to build a themed car. And the theme for this one is WWII Bomber. And it's going to be built for land speed trials, the Texas mile, and Bonaville.
My friend and I have been working on a few paint schemes and e-mailing them back and forth.
so here is what we have so far, still a work in progress but you get the idea.

So let the nut busting begin!:punchballs:
I kinda thought that paint scheme kinda looked like the F-Bomb Camaro that Hot Rod magaZine did last year (and it eas built for a similar purpose, and IIRX wrecked on its maiden voyage on the salt)
Duuuude the second pic is badaaaaaazzzz  :burnout:
do it
do it
do it
do it
do it
do it
I say combine the two and go for it!!! that would look awesome...
I say more toward the first one. Simple, clean, and tasteful.
Now you just need to slam it to the ground!
I love this idea,, :D
I like the second one minus the yellow turbo coupe text. That's a pretty sweet theme idea.
Agree'd. If you put Turbo Coupe anywhere, it should be down low, and in white text.
+1 for the first pic. Still up in the air over the wing. With or without, it still looks badass.
that car (or a clone of it) is in "Fast and Furious" :rollin:
I'm not sure what to think. I actually do kind of like them both. I think I prefer the first one because it looks cleaner to me. What about leaving the TC verbiage on the door and moving the circle graphic to the rear upper quarter panel, over the top of the filler door? I'm not real artistic, so take what I recommend with a grain of salt and then ignore it. lol. Show us some more ideas!
First pic is the way I'd go. It would be even sweeter if you could paint the red trim to match the rest of the car -- or perhaps match it to the brown color in the circle around the pin-up girl.
to adress a few of your comments, by the way thanks for all the feed back.
the wing is there for a reason, when i hit 165mph, the back got really lite. I am going to use the wing to hold the rear down so I dont die as I kinda like living.
My first thought was to put the bomber art on the rear quarter, but with the wing back there too, it made it look to bussy and the front looked really bland.
I left the trim black to give it some contrast, but as I move forward, it may get painted. I'm going to atleast repaint it black with fresh paint.
I did the first one, and my buddy did the second. Even though I have a huge ego, and am my own biggest fan, I am more fond of his at the moment. but we will keep tweeking the idea till it's perfect.
keep your input coming fellas.
instead of turbo coupe why not "Bird of Prey". and have a picture of a buzzard on it.
The black actually is fine IMHO. I was referring to the red inlay ;)
the red matches the brake calipers, well it does when they are clean! lol
I vote for the 1st one because it sticks to the KISS prinl. I think the second one is entirely to busy.
I like the first one myself, I think you should add painted on bolt heads, I think OCC did it on one of thier choppers and it looked great! I also like 86Tbuzzard's idea.
+1 for 1
here she is in all her spray painted glory!

Paint the window trim and tint the windows.Study up on different military vehicles/aircraft and check all the little things that make it stand it.Cool work so far.I love designing that kind of stuff.
Lookin' good!
BTW, whats your e.t. with that skinny on the back? ;)
1st of all I like the 1st one. I definately think you should integrate some sort of pinup girl into it.
I agree with Vin. Buy a model airplane and study up on what all the little decals say. Like "no step" and maybe some sort of stencil on the fuel door...
Don't stop with the exterior. You needs some stainless steel inserts and racing seats with big racing harnesses.
Oh I have big plans for the interior, Its going green and tan, with brushed alluminum door panels. A roll cage, harnesses, and some toggle switches. And the rear is getting a drag wing, painted black with "NO STEP" on it!:hick:
Here's a site that might give you some ideas...

cool link, thanks
Some fun with Paint Shop Pro...
Gives me an idea. Numbers on the sides of the drag wing.
8823TC something along those lines.... I still like the idea of the second. Wasnt too much but it still did the job nicely.
OK that is fuggin cool looking.
A buzzard?!?!? seriously? They are scavengers, not real scary birds of prey... unless you are already dead..
lost my train of thought, it happens. everyone got the idea
