This Turbo Coupe would be an excellent project car. The body is really clean, which is why we bought it in the first place. My son and I wanted to build it together, but it is not going to happen. He is out of the country for 1-3 years and I can’t have it sitting around until he gets back, so it has to go.
This TC appears to have every option you could possibly get, including leather, sunroof, dual power seats, auto dim, etc. The only option it does not have is an automatic, it has the T5 5-speed, which I think is a good thing. It runs and drives pretty well right now. The exhaust ends behind the cat and the ABS relay needs to be wired back in (long story), but otherwise it seems good mechanically. The interior is okay, the dash and seats are cracked. The exterior and underneath are very good. The driver door has been replaced and the back half has been repainted. I think the front half of the car still has the original paint on it though. There are some dings and the worst part is where a branch fell on the roof, but it’s a clean body and it’s clean underneath.
We’re selling it for $1200 and would be willing to deliver it or meet somewhere for gas money. Here’s a link to an album containing a ton of pics and some video. I would be happy to take more pics if anyone wants some. Feel free to let me know if you have any questions. Thanks, Mike.

How many miles are on it?
The odometer reads around 155K, but the cluster was replaced at least once, so I don't know the actual mileage.
Thanx for the info.
man, if you were closer and would consider trades then i'd probably be looking at the car
Yeah, unfortunately, trades aren't an option as driveway space is almost as important as the cash is. Where in Ohio are you? I went to Columbus to get a bumper for my daughter's Mustang and I met DAMINC in Cleveland, so Ohio isn't a bad cruise.
Have you checked the Carfax to see if there are any discrepencies?
I don't have Carfax. I would be happy to send you the VIN if you wanted to run it.
Please PM me with it. I know a member on another board who might help me.
PM sent. If you find something out and don't mind sharing it with me, I would post the non-personal info. The car should have spent most of its life out west and then ended up in MN. Good luck!
doesn't look like 150,000+ miles to me.
Thanks for the kind words, I agree. Also, thanks to RoyLPita, we now know why it looks so good underneath. He sent me the Carfax. To net it out:
This TC was sold new in California (out west, just like the previous owner told me) and stayed there until 2001. There were no issues reported, no accidents, theft, hail, etc. Then it went to Wyoming for a couple of years. It didn't end up in Minnesota until 2003. That's why it is so clean. We also now know it has at least 238K on it too, regardless of what the current odometer reads. Thanks again RoyLPita!
Anytime, Mike.
If it had an auto so the girlfriend could drive it I'd be all over it ;)
You're killing me here! 99 Automatic TC For Sale ads in a row have comments posted like, "If it was a 5-speed, I'd be all over it." So, I advertise a 5-speed TC and you want an automatic.... :rollin:
In every other ad the car was farther away :rollin:
Any northerner looking for a clean project car? Can deliver....
Well, the TC is probably going into storage at my mom's house over the weekend. I guess we'll see what happens in the spring. Happy Thanksgiving!
i wish I could afford it thats exactly what im looking for... Maybe in the spring we will see
Working on moving a couple cars right now to get this. I have a friend close by. Any objections to me having him check the car out?
Not at all, in fact, I would prefer it. The car is currently at my mom's place near Winona, MN. If you give me some notice, I could see about bringing a battery along and plowing it out, so your friend could drive it around too. Feel free to ask any questions you want or send your friend over anytime. Thanks, Mike.
Update: I will be traveling from Rochester, MN to Grand Junction, CO on Friday, March 5. If anyone is interested in this car and lives along the route (Des Moines, Lincoln, North Platte, Denver, etc), I would make you a heck of a deal on delivery. I am also going to post a Parts For Sale ad and could bring some parts along with me to save on shipping.

let me know what else you have for sale.
Anything planned for the return trip?

1959 Ranger. :D
Cool!!
Do you still have the 88 t-bird?
Short answer = Yes.
Longer answer = There is a guy who has been emailing me about it who seems pretty serious. No money has exchanged hands yet, so see "Short answer".
Spring time is here and the TC will be coming out of storage soon. If anyone is interested, let me know. Thanks!
Wow... can't believe you haven't sold this yet. That is a great deal! BTW, I think you are going to like the cover page of the calendar. I had to use that pic somewhere! LOL.
I took the TC out of storage, installed a battery, fired it up and went for a little cruise last week. It felt good to be behind the wheel again. Anyway, it's back up for sale. I may be able to work out a cheap delivery deal between Minnesota and Michigan (Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana) if anyone near I90 in those areas is interested. Thanks, Mike.
PM me your number. My Mustang is selling today and I need to talk the roof over with my dad, he's the body man. If he says it's an easy fix, I'm really interested.
