Title: accel or mallory + update on the cougar
Post by: 86Tbuzzard on October 20, 2009, 09:40:08 AM
found 2 dist. for the cougar, one was a accel with the module missing, the mallory is a unilite pro comp 9000 complete. either way i'm looking @ $100 to repair or buy either way. didn't know if one had a better track record than the other.

Cougar update: after i get the dizzy in the car will be ready to fire up for the first time!!! 4 years i've been waiting for this!!! Next spring it will be on the road, and maybe 2011 cat jam.
Also more big news, i've been in the process of moving, and the cougar's new home has a cement floor!!! no more mud and dampness!!!
The '85 stang stock car will be ready for next year got the engine and tranny ready finally. warmed over 302 with 11:1 and a c4. Should be a good running rig, and look good too

iirc the unilite wont work with the eec system. just go and get a $70 reman dist. unless the distributor was off a running car i wouldn't trust it. just my .02 cents

what eec? this is not an efi engine. trying to get away from duraspark, and msd boxes that don't work. these are coming from a buddy of mine. i'm trying them before I buy them, the guy that my buddy got them from was trying them on a sefi engine...lol it didn't work.
