...I'll be leaving for my first day at my new job. Looking forward to getting out into the workforce again (and earning a paycheque). Tools are all loaded into the Jeep (the Jeep itself is locked up in the garage, not gonna leave thousands of dollars worth of tools in the driveway), lunch is made, new work clothes and boots are laid out. The next chapter in my life is about to start. Wish me luck...
SWEET!!! Congrats Carm, have a good day at work! :burnout:
Good luck Carm, I bet it feels like the first day of school for you.

Hey good luck! Welcome back to the workforce.
Good luck man, hope everything goes good!
So, how did it go?
Hmmmmm.........
He must still be workin.........
Welcome back to the work force. I've got 41 more years till I can retire :hick:
But 65 Isn't your retirement age. I'm 43 and I can't get full retirement until I'm 70. Yours will be 75 by then.:punchballs:
Today went quite well. Changed some tires, did a few brake jobs, replaced a broken engine mount in a Dodge minivan (the bolts were all broken, I had to drill & tap holes), chased down an electrical gremlin in an '01 Impala, and diagnosed a burned valve in another Dodge minivan. I'm enjoying doing my trade again...
If I stay where I'm at for 26 more years I can retire at 50.....maybe ;)
Good luck with that. I had the same deal at my place too, full retirement after 30 years. Then, after I was there for over 20 years, they changed all of the rules. So, now maybe I'll be able to afford to retire when I'm about 85. lol.
Glad to hear it's going well for you
be careful... With all that production, you could work yourself out of a job... :rollin:
Once they know you're good with electrical, you'll get all the weird problems...
It's good to have goals and dreams. I hope you get that one.
Glad to hear things are off to a good start.
Glad day 1 went well hope it stays that way.
x2
