lol, but really nothing but love for my northern brothers! You guys are the proof that the love and lust we share for rubber and steel is unstoppable, through rain sleet or snow, or should I say: snow salt and federal regulations- we will prevail

It's prolly cause I grew up here, but you couldn't get me to move south for anything. I about die when it gets above 80 degrees and 90 degrees is totally unbearable. Thankfully, we only had a couple of 90 degree days this year. I honestly don't know how you guys can put up with  it. I can see why there are so many snowbirds. Live here in the summer and live south in the winter, trying to take advantage of both areas. Whenever anyone would try to tease my my father-in-law about living in the north, he used to say, "You can always put more clothes on, but you can only take so many off." lol.

If you love ice storms! ;) That was the big change I noticed when moving here from WI...temperatures where it'd snow in WI were ice in KS. I'll take snow over ice ANY day!!!

On the up side, the winters here are much shorter and less severe... :burnout:

Cold weather sucks, but not having any emissions inspections kinda helps soften the blow...

Missouri weather usually doesn't has too much snow, but it sure changes a lot.

Wake up to freezing rain, watch the sunset when it's 65 degrees.

You are all missing out on the lovely plain cloudy days here in the northwest. We may be known as the rainy area but we get less than much of the east coast. We get something like half the year of precipitation, most of that being light sprinkling for a few minutes a day. We get nice 100 degree highs in the late summer while in the teens in the late winter. The rest is just clouds.

Best of all, nothing but sand on the roads in the worst cold weather. Rust isn't well known. Move west!

After my wreck, I had some exposed metal. It got so rusty after 3 months I had to lick my finger and rub it off, took forever, almost 10 seconds.

It's been pretty chilly here already, below average temps. I keep putting off turning on the furnace, it's a little chilly in here at times but oil is expensive, it's not as bad as a couple years ago but still. My Bird will be put under cover in the garage at the end of this month for it's hybernation. I wish I had a real garage with heat, that way I could go out and play even in the winter!

As long as you stay out of Northern Va, we don't have emission testing either(you couldn't give me land in that part of the state, if I had to live there)... A state insp is required but it's performed by private shops, so knowing someone is a big plus... I still miss the fact my son-in-law gave up his mechanics job...

Gets into the 20s here in winter, but seldom snows... I'd only consider going farther north, if I could winter in the south...

As I sit here in eastern Canada with a fire burning in my wood furnace, looking out the window at the pretty fall colours and watching the first snowflakes of the season falling to the ground mixed in with a very cold rain, I only have one thing to say to you southern guys:

Suck the hairy, sweaty, and almost certainly shiznitty folds of my ass.

Sorry, just don't know how to put it any more eloquently.

:D

Supposed to rain the next couple days and be in low 60s...

Yeah its getting real py out here. Highs around 50 and lows around 35. We have had a couple frosty mornings. The weathers always windy and cloudy and theres been a lot of COLD rain. Absolutely miserable. Rather have snow on the ground and sunny.

Ive got THIS (http://"http://www.amazon.com/Kats-13100-Alumininum-Circulating-Heater/dp/B000BO8X9K/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=automotive&qid=1255477708&sr=8-1") installed in my bird and I will be switching to my Ultra Grips within the next few weeks.

I had that heater in my festiva last winter and it was really nice to go out at 5am to a car that was already warm without even starting it. The only difference now is Im no longer at my dads and my apartment has nowhere to plug the heater in it. Im going to have to figure out how to get an extension cord through the front door or the window in my kitchen.
