I was wondering... when was the last delorean you have seen? I saw one today heading into springfield. bout broke my neck LOL been ages since ive seen them.
Ill post some pics soon.
Saw my only one about a month and a half ago. Then again I wasnt really looking for them when they were on the roads since i was so little.
I know a collector who has 2, the one was gold plated, Which was removed. But neither ever see's road time.
The last one I saw was on American Dad :hick:
I see one everyday. I thought everybody still had them
never see them around here lol this has probably been maybe the 2nd in at least 10 years that ive seen
My wife wants one. You know there is a company still building em?
I saw one last weekend :D
my old supervisor at work has one, drives it every day. there's also another one i see time to time running around here.
OCNCS had a gallery of DeLoreans at the entrance to the show, including a mauve one, and another trimmed with purple accents (inside and out). Maybe about 16 total, a third customized somehow. IIRC, only one was hotrodded.
Over in Brookfield (5 miles away) in the early summer they have a car show. Back in '86, after the first Back to the Future movie was out, some organization brought in one of the movie DeLoreans. Mr. Fusion and all.
For a fee, one could have their picture taken sitting inside the car with the door up. I didn't do the picture thing, but seeing the car from what was then one of the hottest movies was a neat thing to a 9 year old kid :D
So I can say I've seen a DeLorean in person...touched it even.
I think they're cool...I'd love to have one. Have to build a house around it, and use it for a conversation piece. I sure as hell would never drive it, lol.
i think u can still order one,ut theres a hell of a waiting period bcuz there hand maid
I believe the just started making them again. same body, with an upgraded modern interior I guess. (what I heard)
The guy over here drives it all year long. even in the worst blizzards and sleet.
Yep, try this http://www.delorean.com/
Took mine for a rip back to the week I was born last night... was really neat holding myself as a new born....:hick:

my buddies uncle has one, last time I looked at it last year it had less then 3000 original miles on it.. it has never been on the road, and has only racked up those miles driving from the trailer to the car show spot, then back the the trailer, then into the grage at home.... NUTS!!!
Heard that too

There's one running around my town. It would be a cool car to have.
Ditto. I see one rolling around at least a few times a year. Cool cars and thanks to the BTTF movies (freaking brilliant movies btw) most people know what the heck they are.
Yep, try this http://www.delorean.com/
No thanks, mine only needs to go 88MPH!
A friend of mine has one with a huge amount of engine work done to it. Also, there is a dealership a few miles from my house.

I wonder what insurance is on one of them. Its a grand for a new 1/4 panel, 500-750 for a new fender...
No thanks.
there also made out of stainless steel so they wont rust.
About 10 years ago, I was about 12 or so, my dad and I went to a car show as part of a grand opening for some sort of store. There was at least 5 maybe 10 all parked by each other. One had pink plastic stretched over the entire body. Looked like really thick plastic wrap. Everything inside the interior was also wrapped.
One had some type of v-8 in it. I want to say a chevy, but really don't remember too much about it. It was before I was into cars. I was more excited about the one with the fake flux capacitor that didn't light up.
I remember my dad telling me after that when he was a kid, they were on a camping trip to Nevada and they didn't used to have speed limits. He said they were driving their old dodge cornet?, said that they were going 140+MPH and got passed by a bunch of delorians. Said they ran back into them at the gas station, and kept saying that he didn't know why anyone would want to throw a v-8 in one.
what year was this? they were made in 81-82 and wouldn't do close to 140.
I'll have to ask him next time I talk to him. It was a long time ago that he told me that.
