That is all:evilgrin:
My stepfather had that exact year and color when I was a kid!
Had the 455 with some highway gears. An absolute animal after 40 MPH.
OOOOOOOO so what happened with it, and whats it need whats the plan?
Theyre a love it or hate it car, and I love the boattail Riv's.
Ya, She's my baby. My grandma used to sneek me out in it it and let me drive it. I was only 14, it was the first car I ever drove, you could say it started my love affair with the automobile.
It's a 72 grand sport. a few years ago I spun a rod barring. Never had the time or money to fix it, I'm about to have both.
The plan is to finnish the restoration My Grandfather started before he gave it to me.
SICK. :burnout:
my best friend is restoring a 73 gran sport stage1 car.
bought from the original owner. weighs around 5000 lbs.
has run low 14's at the pure stock drags in michigan. he has
had mint 71 and 72's also over the years. fast and comfortable
cars. you will love driving it.
I love that style Riviera! It's my favorite!
What an awesome project!
Needs a 460 Ford ;)
irv, is it the black/white regal GS? There was one there tihs year, its a 4 SPEED CAR!
I dont think I would do a ford 460 swap. It'd keep it just like it is. Antique cars are worth much less when they are all butchered up.
and you need a swift kick in the teeth.
beautiful start my friend. would look amazing in ford's wimbeldon white.
It's a joke guys geesh. ;)
I like that he's keeping the Buick mill and not doing something stupid like putting a Chevy engine in :flame:
looks like the one used in the TV show due south a few years ago except that one was dark green
Nice Riv!! There's a guy here that has a few, I think if he's making one nice one or two nice ones out of the lot.
thanks, I know you where kidding, I was just messing with ya. The buick 455ci is an outstanding motor, it's less than 100lbs more than a chevy 350. and makes over 300hp stock. the car was getting better than 17mpg on the highway before it died.
And as far as its value, I know of two identical cars that sold for better than $20k.
I almost had a '69 with the 430 motor......it was all original. Was gonna trade my truck for it but the guy backed out at the last minute. Glad to hear you're gonna restore that one, they're awesome cars.
