Title: buttstuffog gauge question..
Post by: cougarman on September 15, 2009, 03:12:19 PM
What would make the oil, water and fuel gauge, all max out at the top of their range, then return to normal after a few minutes? Thanks, Herb.

The voltage regulator on the back of the cluster.  It's a small rectangular unit attached to the circuit board via a snap similar to a 9 volt battery.  Pretty common failure.  As you face the back of the board it's on the upper right.

Until you get it replaced, I have found the guages will return to normal if you tap on the cluster.
