1984 Ford Thunderbird
59,000 miles second owner, runs but has electrical short
Tires in new condition
I found this on Craigslist with no phone number for $550. He called me and said he will be out of town till Friday. He said that if he leaves the batter hooked up it will drain it overnight. I know I can figure this one out. He said it was his uncle's car and he is sure about the mileage but it has a bad headliner. I said it must be a V6 and he said no it's an eight.
I need this like a hole in my head but I though maybe I can make a buck.
This is what I consider low mileage.

had the same problem with my 84 3.8...... it was the external alternator voltage regulator (it's a box under the starter solenoid)... it's like $17 at advance or auto zone.
people will replace the alt and give up... back then the regulator was seperate
Thanks for this, I just assumed it was an internal reg. I guess I work on too many GM.
