:rollin:

There is only one WalMart near me (about 25 minutes away in a suburb) and it's right accross the street from a trailer park. It's a 24 hour WalMart. You'll see some weird people in there at 2:30 in the morning. I've even seen 3 year olds in there with their mothers at 3 am. WTH?

Kinda hate to say this, but easily half of those could be seen at the local W*M here...ughh.
And to think, I was born in that gawed town...:hick:

I did go in there once with blood on me, my clothes, and still dripping blood from my head. Was in '95, right after I flipped my Jeep...was picking up some scrip pain meds the ER doc had called in for me.
Everyone was staring...looked like I'd been shot in the back of the head. I didn't let the dr stitch the cuts up...regretted it later after I seen the scars.

I used to work there, it was actually a fun job to be honest. Pay kinda sucked but its Wal Mart, you cant expect much from them.

Went there this morning but forgot the bingo card...surprisingly only one person would have qualified. :hick:

Honestly I really don't mind shopping at the local one. It all depends on the time of day...if you get up at, say, 8am on a Saturday and head on over, the dregs of society are still in bed at that point. Clean store, great parking spot, stocked shelves, no crying kids, just old people (and you can zip the buggy around them well enough). It's a good deal. Even better in the fall and spring, whenever there's a NASCAR race on TV (or--bonus--an NFL game) you have the store to yourself. Basically I go for the food deals, as there isn't a local grocery store that compares to Walmart Supercenter where I live. And it's quicker to get there than any grocery store, period. Have been finding out that a lot of my neighbors also shop there too...the secret is out.

Now if the proposed horse track/casino deal does go through, then getting there will be a little more difficult, and I'm sure it's going to be a lot more crowded at all times of the day. So I'm livin' the Walmart glory days now, so to speak LOL.
