What parts are available for the t-bird? I know there are a couple cowl hoods available but it there someone that makes bolt on trunks or even maybe door skins that can be bonded to the metal door frames?
there is a place that i beleive makes complete fiberglass 1 peice front clips, door skins, trunk lids for 83-86 and possibly 87-88 i would have to do some searching for the website i wanna say its harry's glass or something of the such
http://www.hairyglass.com/thunderbird.html
there ya go... it looks like they do have 87-88 tbird parts as well
I am guessing these are more race pieces and not a "stock" replacement piece? The trunk lid rusts so easily so I would like to replace that. The door skins would be a good idea also to keep the rust from comming back.
Dont forget the question, how good are they?
Are they the exact size that they should be?
Do they have dents/holes and so on?
well i do know he has been around for a few years with the website. wouldnt hurt to call and figure out the weight of the peices (race or street weights) etc with fiberglass it should never be expected to be a install/prep/paint and ur done... always have to assume that there may be some tpuppies required etc for a good quality fit. i rather trim something thats slightly oversize than have something thats undersize. our cars dont always stay square things shift.
Those are some realy good prices, but, at those prices, I'd say thats a basic mold. You'll have to finish them most likely.
I remember when I bought a body kit for my 99 stang, we paid $1600 for the front/back bumpers and side skirts, and about $400 for the fiberglass hood. Both required a lot of prep. The only thing that didnt require much was the Xenon cobra wing. but it was poly, not fiberglass.
Still looks like some good prices, but I doubt thats gonna be street weight. lol
