Its the 2.3 Turbo four out of my 85 XR7. It has around 86K miles on it and runs. May need a head gasket. Engine is located in Tripoli, Iowa and I am asking $150. Would prefer someone who could pick up out here as I don't have a truck to transport it at hand but could get one if needed.

I must have missed your posts- did you find another motor for your cougar? Or are you parting it out?

Yessir, I have a guy coming to pick it up possibly next week. He's a younger guy so I'll keep this up in case he flakes out.

Also, I do have the trans that can be sold as well. Make offers.

What trans is it? Auto or 5speed? PM me in your buyer flakes on you. I'm interested. (Can a guy ever have too many 2.3Turbo parts? I think not. Just don't ask my wife that question)

Pulled engine and trans yesterday. I swear pulling V8s is easier, fewer wires, plugs, lines etc. :D. Car looks better with that open space for whatever I choose to stab in there :)

Sold! Engine is gone to spend its life in a Merkur XR4Ti.

Trans is still up for sale.
